Yes
The criteria I would use to fill a General Assembly appointment would begin with following the rules outlined in the party bylaws. I would review candidate biographies to ensure they possess the experience and skills necessary to effectively represent the district. I would also consider their commitment to party principles, knowledge of district issues, community involvement, ethical record, and readiness to perform legislative duties. Will also assess their ability to work with others.
I became interested in politics in middle school while following the 2008 presidential campaign. That experience sparked my interest in public service and civic engagement. Since then, I have come to understand how important it is to remain continuously engaged with voters in order to strengthen the party’s electoral success. More importantly, that engagement helps advance the policy objectives that will improve the quality of life for everyone—not just those who are wealthy or well connected.
I will work to ensure committee minutes are consistently posted on our website so members of the public can easily review my voting record and the actions of the entire committee, promoting transparency and accountability.
