DATA CENTERS I support data centers in Maryland if they are developed responsibly. From my experience advocating for jobs and infrastructure, growth must not come at the expense of our communities. Data centers should be required to provide their own power sources so they do not strain the grid or impact residents’ utility costs and resources.
UTILITY COSTS Utility costs are rising due to aging infrastructure, plant closures, and increased demand. Having worked on infrastructure and workforce issues, I know investment is critical. We must modernize power systems, expand reliable energy sources, including renewables, and ensure funding reaches local jurisdictions to upgrade systems and reduce long-term costs.
TRANSPORTATION Yes, public transportation should be expanded. In my work with working families, I’ve seen how essential reliable transportation is for jobs, healthcare, and daily life. Expanding bus and rail options, especially in underserved areas, will support workers, reduce congestion, and improve quality of life.
BUDGET My top priorities are healthcare, education, and the environment. From my experience representing working families, I believe we must support responsible economic growth that benefits the majority, not just the top 1 percent. Our budget should invest in people, strengthen communities, and ensure opportunity is shared across all of Maryland.
IMMIGRATION As someone who has spent a career representing working families, I believe immigrants are a vital part of our workforce and communities. I support policies that ensure due process and create a fair pathway to citizenship, while protecting the rights and dignity of those who contribute to Maryland’s economy.
