Data centers must be responsibly built to be self sustaining from an energy and conservation point of view.
Maryland needs to produce more affordable energy in this state to reduce the amount of electricity being imported from other states. Over the last decade 7 power plants have closed with another closing soon, reducing our power generation during a time that electricity use has surged. We also need to eliminate unnecessary hidden government charges on utility bills which account for nearly 25-30% of utility bills.
Before we expand any more money on new mass transit, I believe we need to make deep investments in our roads and bridges. Roads and bridges have been short changed for too long and need repair, expansion, and improvements.
In recent years the growth of the state budget has grown faster than the economy can support causing record tax and fee increases, draining the $5.5 billion budget surplus left when Governor Hogan left office, and using budget gimmicks. What I'll be fighting for is the taxpayers who are among the highest taxed people in America. Marylanders are fleeing this state at an alarming pace, especially young people and retirees.
Immigration is an important part of the story of America, and continues to be an important part of our story. To protect law and order, we need to continue to enforce Immigration law welcoming legal immigration while protecting our borders.

I do not support the establishment of additional data centers. Data centers bring very little economic benefit. As a person who works and understands IT, I know that data centers provide very few jobs after construction is complete. That argument is null while the negatives are clear. Data centers are unfairly sucking energy from an already stressed grid. We need to increase energy production prior to allowing more data centers.
The primary cause of the increased cost is the lack of production and increased demand. We need to focus on increasing our energy production throughout the entire PJM interconnect. Our legislators need to look to grant programs from the federal government and streamline/prioritize energy production projects to be prioritized for permit processing. I am interested in providing low-interest loans for energy projects in the state and implement solar panel tax deductions for homes.
Public transit is very important for many reasons. It will lower emissions with fewer cars on the road, provide a cheaper means for people to get to their various destinations, and reduce traffic. Therefore, public transportation should always be planned for any developments and city planning.
Education is the top priority by far. I want to ensure that our students coming out of Maryland will be not just competitive for college but also the job market to create success for our future. I will also always fight for healthcare. I want to ensure all Marylanders have access to affordable healthcare. Lastly, I want to invest in the people who serve this state and ensure the state lives up to promises made.
I believe it is important to create a safe environment where people can live, build families, and have a government they can trust. This belief extends to our immigrant community who are living their lives the same way the American citizens are. We need our fellow human-beings, who may have not been lucky enough to be born in the United States, have the ability to live the American dream that we all have an opportunity to live with safety and security.
