I do not support expanding data centers unless strong environmental protections are in place. We cannot continue putting profit over the planet. If data centers can meet rigorous standards to limit harm to our power grid, water, and land, then they may have a place. But right now, I’m not convinced the technology is there. In the past, we prioritized profits over long-term sustainability, leaving us with serious climate challenges today. Our generation has to put the environment first.
Utility costs are rising due to supply and demand especially for electricity. My priority is to expand access to affordable solar power by lowering interest rates for solar loans and supporting energy-efficient home upgrades. We must also continue and expand incentives for clean energy and strengthen environmental laws to protect Maryland’s water supply and ensure sustainable utility infrastructure. We also need to invest in Maryland's gas infrastructure to prevent costly leaks and safety issues
Traffic in Maryland is getting worse, and many in District 28 have no transit options at all. Commutes are longer and more stressful. Our state has struggled with efficient public transit. I’ve worked in transportation my entire career—including with Amtrak, MARC, and currently WMATA. Also, I conducted Quality Assurance on Virginia Silver Line Phase II project. I believe I have the knowledge and experience needed to help Maryland build smarter, more reliable public transportation statewide.
My top priorities are education, the environment, and strengthening our economy. I’ll fight to fully fund the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, support clean energy and environmental protections, and invest in small businesses and infrastructure. These priorities not only help families now but set up Maryland for long-term success and sustainability.
The reason I went to law school the reason I am running for office now is because I’ve experienced discrimination myself and I’ll stand with immigrants facing it today. I support state-level efforts like legal aid, self-help centers, and hotlines to connect immigrants with the services they need to live without fear of deportation. I understand we need border patrol but immigration is what makes America unique. We need to do better about how we enforce laws without massive detention centers.
