support data centers if they provide their own energy generation so they don't draw excessive energy from grid. They will add productive value to the local economy, provided they meet local zoning standards and adequate parking space.
High utility costs are due to the Maryland General Assembly "green" energy policy that discourages cheap, efficient, and reliable fossil fuel energy generation - under the false premise that global warming is a threat to humanity that government can fix by penalizing carbon-based energy generation and usage. Assembly should repeal the "Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative" (RGGI) which forces mandates on carbon emissions, that discourage clean, efficient, low-cost, fossil fuel generation.
Yes. But effort should be limited to upkeep and improvement of present system; better bus routing to serve more common regular customers on major roads. New development only where justified to be self-sustaining without financing through government subsidies.
Budget priority to reduce taxes by spending less on public education, cost-effective contracting on merit, and independent audit and accountability to prevent waste, fraud, and abuse. And remove state funding for non-emergency support to illegal alien population in the state.
Remove "sanctuary" status for illegal aliens. Local police cooperation with federal authority to reduce the crime, drugs and cartel influence that otherwise especially prey on the foreign-born communities, especially as to illegal competition for low-wage employment.
