Free and fair elections are the foundation of our democracy. I support protecting early voting and vote-by-mail, strengthening election cybersecurity, and ensuring adequate funding for election administration. I will support the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to restore protections against voter suppression and ensure every eligible American can cast a ballot and have it counted accurately. We must also defend election workers from threats and intimidation.
Our immigration system needs comprehensive reform. While we must maintain secure borders and enforce the law, enforcement alone cannot solve the problem. We need a balanced approach that fixes the asylum system, provides stability for Dreamers, and creates lawful pathways that support our economy. We must also ensure accountability for agencies like ICE and treat every person with dignity and respect under the law.
Too many families are struggling with rising costs. In Congress, I will focus on lowering prescription drug prices, expanding affordable housing, supporting childcare and early education, and strengthening workforce development and small businesses. We must ensure that working families have the economic stability and opportunity they need to build a secure future. We must also support small businesses, and invest in infrastructure and economic development that creates good-paying jobs.
As a veteran, I understand the importance of strong American leadership. The United States must work with our democratic allies to defend democracy, promote human rights, and strengthen global stability. Through diplomacy, economic partnerships, and responsible security cooperation, we can address shared challenges like security threats, global health, and climate change while keeping America safe.
Programs like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and nutrition assistance are lifelines for seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, and working families. I will work to protect and strengthen these programs, defend them from cuts, and ensure they remain sustainable and accessible so that every American can live with dignity and security.

I’ll back laws that make voting secure, accurate, and convenient—like automatic voter registration, expanded early voting and vote by mail, and universal paper ballots with robust post election audits. We must protect election workers, ban foreign interference, and modernize systems so every eligible voter can participate and every ballot is counted.
I oppose turning local police into federal immigration agents and support humane, constitutional enforcement that prioritizes serious crime, not families seeking a better life. I’ll fight for a pathway to citizenship, protections for Dreamers, fair asylum processes, and an end to inhumane detention conditions that shame our values.
I’ll push to lower everyday costs by expanding affordable housing, capping drug prices, moving toward universal, affordable health care, and making childcare more available and affordable. That means building more homes near transit, investing in care workers, expanding tax credits for working families, and ensuring corporations and the wealthy pay their fair share.
America should lead with our values —democracy, human rights, and shared prosperity—rather than endless wars. I support strong alliances, smart diplomacy, and targeted support for allies fighting aggression, alongside serious investments in climate action, global health, and development so we prevent crises instead of just reacting to them.
I’ll oppose any cuts to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, or disability benefits and work to strengthen them so no Marylander falls through the cracks. That includes protecting Medicare’s new power to negotiate drug prices, expanding nutrition and housing assistance, and modernizing benefits so they’re easier to access and harder to steal.

I support strong voting rights protections, including restoring the Voting Rights Act, expanding early and mail voting, protecting election workers, and ensuring secure paper ballot backups and audits. Our democracy works best when every eligible voter can vote easily and confidently, and when election systems are transparent, accurate, and protected from interference.
As the daughter of immigrants, I understand the sacrifices immigrant families make. As an attorney, I have worked on TPS advocacy and supported those with temporary status, and I know how hard it is for families to secure stability while raising children. I oppose harmful ICE raids that create fear in our communities. We need humane immigration reform that protects families and provides a clear pathway to citizenship for those who have long lived and worked in this country.
Marylanders are struggling with housing, healthcare, childcare, food, and rising utility costs. I will fight to lower prescription drug prices, expand affordable housing, support unions and fair wages, invest in childcare, and strengthen competition laws to address corporate price gouging. We must also support small businesses and build an economy where wages keep up with the cost of living and families can thrive.
The United States should lead through diplomacy, human rights, and strong partnerships with democratic allies. Our leadership should prioritize peace and support nations committed to democratic values and stability. We must work to prevent conflicts and avoid wars that harm innocent children and families, while investing in development, global cooperation, and policies that promote lasting peace and security.
Programs like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and SNAP are lifelines for seniors, families, children, and people with disabilities. I will oppose efforts to cut or privatize these programs and instead work to strengthen and expand them. We must protect earned benefits, lower healthcare costs, expand access to nutrition and housing support, and ensure our most vulnerable neighbors have the stability and dignity they deserve.

Right now we are at a dangerous moment in our country's history, with an administration set on undermining election integrity. When elected, I will support The Freedom to Vote Act, The John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, and The DISCLOSE Act. Furthermore, I'd support providing the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) with full funding authorized under the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) to help states meet election administration standards.

Our current approaches to enforcing federal immigration laws have been cruel and calloused. Federal officers operating in communities should be clearly identifiable, accountable, and operating under consistent standards that build trust while upholding the law. Immigration enforcement resources should prioritize violent offenders, traffickers, cartel networks, and those who endanger public safety — not law-abiding families contributing to our economy. In its current form, ICE must be abolished.
This administration is directly responsible for rising costs impacting everyday Marylanders. My agenda is focused on addressing the root causes of each issue around affordability. With housing, I introduced legislation this session to ban hedge funds from buying up single-family homes, and would bring that energy to Congress. For healthcare, I'd support Medicare for All with a private option. I'd support universal childcare and raising the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $15/hour tied to CPI.
I believe that the United States can & should be a beacon of hope for democracy, freedom & leadership across the globe. We can return to a country that leads with diplomacy & development, not military intervention. Unfortunately, this administration has strained relationships with our allies, disrupting the rules based international order. We are now viewed as a hostile state actor, & we must do everything we can to repair the relationships we've frayed with our allies.
It's critically important that we safeguard Social Security and defend the benefits seniors earned and rely on. Additionally, we must expand and protect the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit to put real money back into the pockets of families. This also includes restoring cuts to SNAP, WIC, and other programs that provide tangible support and dignity to Maryland's most vulnerable.

America has witnessed both sides calling foul play. When it comes to election integrity, we need a new election voting process. We need ID for banks, airports, doctors, fishing and hunting licenses, dozen of other transactions . We should have a ID for voting. We all have one driver's license proving you are a legal citizen, which is a great start social security card would be another ID allowed .
Keeping our borders closed is the best way to move forward. Until Congress and the Senate step in and do their job. I would like to see churches, businesses, and individuals sponsor a family. They would be sent home and get vetted. This would be a step for them to get in line first to come back. To obtain work permits, these groups would take full responsibility for managing their work status and legal appearances. The legal way is the best and only way.
Begin with electricity prices, move to re-open all coal plants shut down by Annapolis. Upgrade these generator plants to be clean coal. Push the data center city development to give electric relief to Marylanders in exchange for state and county tax breaks. Encourage local governments to make it easier to build homes. Train our younger generation for AI. Increase the childcare tax credit to 100 percent. Food is 1/4 of Americans' paychecks. We must make it cheaper and healthier .
America has made itself the leader on the world stage. We have to work on our manners and lead by strength. When working with our partners around the world, we need to listen. See how we can assist them now and in the future. We need to put America first, support our military and their families. War should be the last resort. Once the first shot has been fired, it is hard to stop. I hope this war with Iran ends with Iran allowing inspectors in and ending uranium enrichment.
Prevention of fraud, waste, and abuse, using regulatory oversight conducted by outside accountants.

Laws that preserve the right to vote for all eligible voters. A valid drivers license should be sufficient to ensure voter integrity
I do not support the current heavy handed approach that has placed law abiding citizens in harms way, separated families and has violated basic constitutional rights upholding due process. I support an approach that addresses the issue of ensuring that individuals are not in the country illegally by providing them with the right to petition and follow basic immigration law and procedure.
I would support any laws that penalize merchants for deliberate price gouging. I would reestablish funding for federal programs such as SNAP. I would explore legislation that would establish a living wage for all citizens. I would advocate for universal healthcare for all.
The role of the United States is and should be to promote democracy and utilize the wealth that exist in this nation to address fundamental world issues such as the lack of adequate healthcare in developing nations.
Expand funding for SNAP, healthcare and reestablish full funding for the Department of Education

I will fight to support laws that prevent our vulnerable citizens from being disenfranchised based on unconstitutional, targeted criteria, as seen with [redacted]’s SAVE Act. I will fight to support laws increasing voting accessibility for working families, easing the burden on those who struggle to be civically engaged when swamped with duties at home. I will also support efforts to invest in and reinforce our testing and certification of voting machines to ensure accurate and fair elections.
Nothing reminds me more of January 6 insurrectionists than the display shown by ICE agents today. As a public servant who has dedicated his entire career to law enforcement, I do not support the unprofessional and extremely violent approach currently used by our administration to enforce federal immigration laws. While there are immigration laws that must be followed, there is nothing dutiful or honorable about using masked mobs to profile, kidnap, and beat neighbors in our streets.
I will fight to lower the taxes on our working and middle class families, while raising the minimum wage federally to reflect our state’s model. I also believe in decreasing the miscellaneous costs people have to pay for their children’s public education, and that would free up more of their budget. I will also invest in creating more low-income housing and protecting tenants’ rents. I also believe in universal Medicare, pushing for lower healthcare costs without risking the quality of care.
The United States has, and should, stand as a symbol of authority and democracy to nations throughout the world. Recent times have clearly shown us falling from that position with the way our current administration treats, not only our own people, but also other nations on the world stage. I believe the United States, as a superpower and leader, has a responsibility on the world stage to provide aid and advocate for those facing injustices abroad, but that work starts here at home.
I have always supported protecting, if not expanding, our social safety net programs like Medicaid, EID, and SNAP. We must protect our most vulnerable Marylanders by providing them substantial enough support to live, not just survive. Additionally, I will work to expand accessibility to these programs so no Marylander goes overlooked.

Any and all, every American has a driver's license to drive a car or Walker's ID if they don't drive so that when confronted by law enforcement they can identify themselves or the same IDs are used to get on planes trains buses go to liquor stores medical marijuana outlets require ID there's so many different places that require you to show an ID to prove who you are, Banks require IDs to get into your own account even if they know you
Any and all persons illegally in the United States regardless of whether they entered illegally were they overstayed their visa hast to be removed and sent home because the people who are supposed to get priority for any jobs that exist in the United States would be people who have a legal right to work such as US citizens naturalized US citizens resident aliens who have green cards. This is to protect American citizens and keep wages higher so that a person can afford the American dream
I agree with you,the issue the cost of groceries is tied to fuel prices moves downward, I believe healthcare would become a lot more affordable and easy to be able to cover those in our society who are less fortunate once we forcibly remove anyone and everyone that is not legally here in this country and has no right to those benefits only naturalized citizens and permanent resident aliens and US citizens should be able to use Medicare Medicaid lowering healthcare costs across the board
I want to to be exactly what the majority of Americans want us to be partners with our allies partners with non allies working to make the world a better place and free of tyranny and dictatorship, I do agree that if you're going to have such a large power from the military flexing it and showing it to other countries as a form of coercion is a good idea to avoid having to actually use it on the ground putting American in danger, and using economic coercion to achieve politically outcomes
The best way is to make sure that only US citizens, naturalized citizens and permanent resident aliens who are allowed to use these programs should be the only ones using it, removing all individuals who are illegally here or undocumented who are not supposed to be using these programs to remove them from those programs and those roles, legitimate legal US citizens are the only people that we should be attempting to protect and help, making sure that people using it or actually alive

My belief is that all citizens should have the right to vote. We must reinstate the Voting Rights Act to ensure that underserved communities maintain their voting power. I am in strong support of the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and will continue to push other states to reaffirm voting rights in their state, as we have done in Maryland. We also must protect the Help America Vote Act of 2002, to safeguard the sacred process of voting and to ensure that all votes are accurately counted
Not only do I oppose enforcement-only immigration policies that instill fear in our workplaces and communities, I also support community trust policies that maintain a separation between local law enforcement and federal immigration enforcement. Additionally, I support policies providing status protections to immigrant workers enforcing labor laws. Immigrants have a right to be here as much as anyone else, and this country would not function without immigrants.
Affordability is absolutely an issue in Maryland, as is around the country. We have to remove the wage gap by forcing these corporations and billionaires to pay their fair share. I will ensure that block grants are provided to states to offset the cost of childcare, support housing tax credits to make housing more affordable, and enhance the protections of Medicaid and SNAP programs that support our most vulnerable families and seniors.
The United States role in international affairs is to support our allies, but not at the expense of our citizens. The United States has worked for decades to develop, solidify, and maintain our allyship while prioritizing the rights and liberties of American citizens.
We must pour more funding into our safety net programs like SNAP, Medicaid, social security, and TANF. By reducing funds for unserious costs like ballrooms and congressionally unapproved wars, Marylanders can be provided with accessible support that will improve their quality of life, keeping them off the fringes of society.

I support paper ballot backups, nonpartisan audits, and stronger cybersecurity for all voting systems. I oppose voter suppression, illegal purges, and gerrymandering. Every eligible vote must be counted accurately and transparently. Apoyo respaldos en papel, auditorías imparciales y mayor ciberseguridad electoral. Me opongo a la supresión del voto, purgas ilegales y manipulación de distritos. Cada voto elegible debe contarse con precisión y transparencia.
No. Current enforcement is cruel and inhumane. I support abolishing ICE, ending mass deportations, and replacing fear-based policies with humane, compassionate immigration reform that keeps families together and respects human dignity. No. La aplicación actual es cruel e inhumana. Apoyo abolir el ICE, terminar las deportaciones masivas y reemplazar políticas de miedo con una reforma migratoria compasiva que mantenga a las familias unidas.
I will fight for universal healthcare, affordable housing, free childcare, and grocery price caps on essentials. Maryland's 5th District families deserve economic relief now. No more choosing between rent and food. Lucharé por atención médica universal, vivienda asequible, cuidado infantil gratuito y límites de precios en productos esenciales. Las familias del 5to Distrito de Maryland merecen alivio económico ahora. No más elegir entre renta y comida.
America must stop policing the world while ignoring its own people. I support diplomacy over military intervention, ending foreign aid that funds oppression, and investing those resources into struggling American communities first. América debe dejar de ser el policía del mundo mientras ignora a su propia gente. Apoyo la diplomacia sobre la intervención militar, terminar la ayuda extranjera que financia la opresión e invertir esos recursos en comunidades americanas necesitadas.
I will protect and expand Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and SNAP. I oppose any cuts to programs that vulnerable families depend on. Maryland's most vulnerable deserve dignity, not budget negotiations used against them.

Free and fair elections depend on transparency and trust. I support federal standards requiring paper ballots, risk limiting audits, strong cybersecurity, and modernized election infrastructure. I support early voting and secure mail voting so eligible voters can participate. Electronic systems should produce a voter verified paper record for auditing. I support the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. We can legally strengthen voting security without requiring new citizenship documents.
Congress must finally fix our broken immigration system. I support stronger border technology, more asylum and immigration judges to reduce backlogs, and modernized legal immigration pathways for workers and families. Enforcement should focus on serious threats, not mass detention, while ensuring due process for everyone. We also need bipartisan legislation that improves case processing, strengthens border security, and restores order to the system.
Congress must tackle the real drivers of rising costs through strong antitrust enforcement. I support legislation to increase housing supply by tying federal funds to zoning laws, allow Medicare to negotiate more drug prices, expand childcare tax credits, and strengthen antitrust enforcement to stop price manipulation. We also need policies that support domestic energy production and infrastructure so families are not crushed by housing, healthcare, and everyday expenses.
The United States should lead through alliances, diplomacy, and responsible use of power. Americans are tired of "forever" wars based on corporate greed and the elitist agenda. Congress must reclaim its constitutional authority over war and military force through stronger War Powers enforcement and oversight. Our foreign policy should prioritize protecting American security, supporting democratic allies, preventing conflict when possible, and ensuring military action is a last resort.
Programs like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, and veterans benefits must remain strong and reliable. I support legislation that protects these programs from cuts and ensures long-term solvency, including lifting the payroll tax cap for Social Security so all earners pay taxes on their full salary and reducing healthcare costs by removing administrative fees. These programs are lifelines and, in many cases, earned benefits Americans paid into for decades.

There is no law that guarantees fair elections if the President is willing to violate the Constitution. We already saw a coup attempted after the 2020 election. Of course I oppose voter suppression laws like the SAVE Act, and I support restoring and expanding the Voting Rights Act. But ultimately, protecting democracy also requires holding leaders who attempt to subvert elections accountable under the law. Our elections will not be safe until the criminals from this administration are in prison.
I do not support current immigration enforcement practices. ICE has repeatedly operated without adequate accountability, resulting in wrongful detentions, family separations, and abuses of power, and that agency must be abolished. We need comprehensive immigration reform, including a pathway to permanent residency or citizenship for immigrants who contribute to our communities (especially for DACA recipients) while ensuring humane enforcement that respects civil liberties and the rule of law.
We must address the biggest drivers of cost: housing, healthcare, and childcare. I support a national transit-oriented development policy to build more housing near transit and incentivize more starter homes while minimizing impacts on existing communities. I support universal healthcare and ending medical bankruptcy. Congress must also reclaim tariff authority to prevent price spikes from trade wars. Finally, we should expand the Child Tax Credit and increase childcare options to help families.
Our foreign policy must reflect our values, not what's best for weapons manufacturers and insiders. The US should lead by defending democracy and strengthening alliances like NATO, not starting unnecessary wars, trashing relationships with our allies, and cozying up to dictators like Vladimir Putin. Congress, not the President, must decide when the nation goes to war. I support continued support for Ukraine against Russian aggression and stronger Congressional oversight of weapons sales.
The truth is that the American social safety net has never been sufficient. Millions of Americans are one missed paycheck away from crisis. As AI and automation reshape the economy, millions more will face rapid economic disruption. We must strengthen Social Security, Medicaid, SNAP, and ACA coverage while rejecting ineffective work requirements. I will fight to expand healthcare coverage, reverse SNAP cuts, and modernize the safety net so Americans have stability during major economic changes.

All eligible voters should be able to vote and have faith that their vote is being recorded correctly. I believe in voter-verifiable paper ballots, robust post-election audits, and transparent processes. We must have secure elections and ensure that voters have access to the ballot box. Election security and voter engagement go hand in hand, with every vote being counted and every voter having a say.
I am in favor of the enforcement of immigration laws that are firm, fair, and consistent with our values. We must secure our borders, stop the illegal trafficking of people, and make sure that the law is followed. At the same time, we must make some sensible reforms that are efficient, enhance legal immigration, and treat people with dignity. A good system will protect our communities and our economy.
Too many families are working hard but falling behind in their costs for housing, groceries, childcare, and healthcare. We need to address these costs by increasing affordable housing, reducing prescription drug prices, making it easier for working families to find childcare, and increasing competition to prevent price gouging. We can create more good jobs by increasing job growth and investing in workforce development.
The United States must lead from strength, diplomacy, and cooperation. Our role in the world is to protect democratic ideals, support our allies, promote economic stability, and prevent conflicts when possible. We must build strong alliances, practice good diplomacy, and protect national security, but also address the world’s problems such as climate change, humanitarian issues, and economic development.
Programs like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and SNAP play a vital role in supporting our seniors, those with disabilities, children, and families in need. I will continue to ensure these programs are well-funded, accessible to those who need these services most, and protected against fraud and abuse. The safety net is a strong foundation for families, helping to prevent poverty and create opportunities for long-term economic well-being.

I will support paper ballots for verification. Post election audits, logic and accuracy testing for voting machines. Chain of custody for ballots, mail ballot security, cyber security protection, and bipartisan oversight.
I do not support ICE and the manner in which they conduct themselves. They should always have to display their credentials as well as show their face. As a combat veteran and a being military police man for twenty years. There is a certain level of merit and humility that should be displayed.
I am going to push to pass legislation to raise minimum wage. Try to lower mortgage home interest rates and make more grants available for first time home buyers. I’m a father of four and I definitely will work on making childcare more affordable in Maryland. To seek lower groceries bills we need to support American farms to cut down on import cost.
The United States role should clearly be humanitarian and aide when needed. We should work to establish better relationships with funding countries.
I will start by opposing federal cuts to these programs. Foster bipartisan relationships in Congress to increase funding for these programs. We can work on automatic enrollments for Marylanders who are already qualified for the programs.

I support every Constitutional amendment that prevents protects the rights of Americans to vote and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. I support Federal and State-proposed laws to expand access to voting for all eligible voters.
The current approach to immigration enforcement is failing its mission to preserve national security and public safety. Instead, they are wreaking havoc in businesses and communities they are meant to protect, encouraging lawless and disruptive behavior of ICE agents, and trampling human rights. We need a common sense, organized system of immigration enforcement that is implemented with integrity, justice, and transparency.
I support federal investment into affordable housing construction and local zoning to incentivize housing options. Expand child tax credits and ACA tax credits, cap medication costs, support infrastructure and transportation improvements, and support collective bargaining rights and protections for workers and their unions.
US should be leaders on the world stage. US should spearhead human rights. US should develop and maintain strong partnerships and alliances that will strengthen and protect US interests, economy, and security. US needs to prioritize diplomacy and international cooperation, while maintaining military might to maintain our national security.
As a social worker, I understand the importance of safeguarding social safety net programs for the people of Maryland. I oppose any attempts to reduce, block, or weaken programs like SNAP, ACA, social security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

As a proud veteran and champion of civil rights, I want everyone to participate in this great exercise of democracy. First by providing legal ID such as drivers license, State ID or Passport. Realtime monitoring of voter machines before and during elections for accuracy, place voter machines under lock and key before elections. Provide electronic voting measures for disabled and elderly voters, who are unable to vote in person. Provide electronic ballots to our veterans serving abroad.
No, I have many family members that have immigrated to the United States in the past 50 years. We all must participate in making enforcing federal immigration laws safe and respectful for everyone involved. I will have a round table of our undocumented community, Immigrant community, White community and Black community; to have real talks about what each group needs from the 5th congressional seat. I believe each of these groups, needs and concerns have not ever been addressed by anyone.
Began by electing politicians that actually care about the people and not themselves. Energy cost are unbelievable, I would hold state and federal subsidies from publicly traded utilities ( Exolon: which owns BG&E, Pepco, Washington Gas). Reduce government spending, drive down interest rates on short-term lending. Reform the tax code and expand healthcare affordability, by caping corporate margins and tax-payer subsidies. Hold our politicians accountably, that take corporate funding.
I, believe the United States role on the world stage will diminish drastically within the next 15 years. Nations within the United Nations are beginning to rely less on the United States with each passing day. I see the United States focusing more on domestic concerns than global issues. The world is slowly moving on from the influence of the United States.
I am a retired PG County Firefighter, Marine and proud parent of a Child with Autism ( level 3). I have been raising money for Maryland Special Olympics, Pathfinders For Autism and Maryland Autism Society since 2006 along with my uncle Captain Dee Fense (Ravens fame) I have created a new Maryland License Plate design, to raise permeant funding for these organizations along with funding for childcare for first responders with children with Autism. I will fight for the Autism community.

There are multiple laws on the books, and many Constitutional Amendments purely to protect elections. These were fought for with blood and tears and lives, and we cannot allow those sacrifices to be in vain. I will fight to prevent anything less than free and fair elections. This includes fighting to prevent federal agents from being sent to polling centers to intimidate voters. Elections are core to the survival of our country, and I’ll never stand by and let them take that from us.
Absolutely not. We must abolish ICE, and prosecute everyone involved. Federal Agents have taken over our streets, ripping away due process rights, as they assault/kill and kidnap anyone who fits their racist description of who shouldn’t be here. The people they decide (for reasons unknown) to not hold in American concentration camps, are trafficked to third countries, maybe. Thousands of people are missing. In Charles Co and see ICE? Text our Rapid Response Team 301*861*6806
Reagan followed the Heritage Foundation Mandate (1980). Now we’re watching it happen again, with the 2025 version. Both economic policies benefit those at the top, not us. For 46 years, we’ve given tax cuts to the ultra wealthy and corporations, pretending wealth would trickle down—it never did. We must raise taxes on the ultra wealthy, take back funds given to ICE ($80B), and invest that money in services that will close those gaps. We can do that AND lower taxes for the average American.
We need to repair the alliances this regime has fractured, and grow the rest. Support of Israel’s wars must end. We must also end this admin’s tariffs, and hold on to our lead as a global economic superpower. More focus on humanitarian relief, and less on military actions in, and on, other countries. We can’t keep being the world’s colonizers, harming others and stealing their resources. A country as powerful as the U.S. can negotiate supplies and resources, AND be the world’s protector.
The money given to ICE last July must be taken, and placed back into the safety net budgets it was stolen from. How? The same way they stole it from us; we stop playing by rules long thrown away, and we just DO IT. (Dems must stop allowing suffering to try to maintain business as usual. It’s a failing effort to be the good guy.) Then, we must grow those programs from there—they can’t be left as they were. We all deserve healthcare (by any name you want to call it), food, housing, and dignity.

I will fight for the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act, to protects voters from race-based discrimination and sets minimum standards to enable all voters to experience free and fair elections. It requires jurisdictions with a long history of voting discrimination to “pre-clear” future changes to their voting rules. It's same-day registration and automatic registration rules will help reduce voting disparities by race, age and other factors. I'll oppose all Republican voter suppression efforts.
[...]'s "mass deportation" campaign is a lawless disgrace. We've all seen the brutality and violence visited upon our neighbors by roving bands of masked, unidentified "federal agents." Our current immigration system is broken and in dire need of fundamental reform. That means a humane system that secures our borders, sets reasonable limits for the many types of visas, and provides a pathway to legal status for the millions of law-abiding undocumented immigrants living and working in America.
I support making child-care affordable for all working Americans. We need universal, free pre-K. We desperately need Medicare-for-all to rein in skyrocketing healthcare costs. The Social Security Expansion Act will raise benefits, make cost of living adjustments reflect actual consumer spending, and ensure S.S.'s solvency through the 21st century. We must restore the child tax credit to levels set by the American Rescue Plan. Strong labor unions help all working Americans attain a living wage.
[...]'s nihilistic, transactional "foreign policy" has been a disaster for America, raising prices and making us less safe. His undeclared, lawless wars have killed thousands, including American soldiers and innocent civilians. He is selling out America's interests for his personal enrichment. America must return to being an example to all people and governments aspiring to democratic self-governance guided by the rule of law. We must support Ukraine's fight against Putin's criminal aggression.
I will fight to strengthen Social Security. I will push for universal, free pre-K, and a robust child tax credit. I will advocate for reforms to divert those dealing with substance abuse and mental health challenges out of the criminal justice system and into proven programs to address their needs, and get them on their feet and contributing to their communities. I will fight to strengthen school lunch and after school programs for those in need.

As a Democrat, I would support laws that protect both election security and voter access. This includes requiring voter verified paper ballots and audits, funding cybersecurity protections for election systems, and safeguarding against interference. I would also support legislation like the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the For the People Act, which aim to protect voting rights, ensure fair election administration, and maintain accurate vote counts.
As a progressive Democrat and two-term appointed member of the Latino Advisory Board advocating for immigrants, I believe the current immigration system is broken and needs bold reform to be truly humane and just. I support secure borders, fair enforcement, expanded asylum protections, modernized immigration courts, and keeping communities informed. I also back the U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021, which creates legal pathways, a path to citizenship, and ensures dignity for all immigrants.
As someone who lost a parent to a broken healthcare system, I’m committed to making care more affordable and accessible. As a Democrat, I support lowering everyday costs for families by strengthening the Affordable Care Act, reducing prescription drug prices through the Inflation Reduction Act, expanding affordable housing, and increasing childcare assistance and tax credits to help families afford groceries, housing, and other essentials.
Having worked with international businesses, I believe the United States should lead in promoting global stability, democracy, and cooperation with allies. This means strengthening alliances like NATO, supporting diplomacy to resolve conflicts, and partnering with nations on climate change, global health, and economic development. The U.S. should lead through diplomacy, economic partnerships, and responsible defense cooperation to build a safer, more stable world.
As the daughter of a single parent that was on disability after 25 years of federal government service, I know firsthand how vital social safety nets are. I will protect and strengthen programs like Medicaid, SNAP, and Social Security to ensure they reach vulnerable Marylanders. I support expanding access, funding critical services, and modernizing delivery to reduce barriers, helping seniors, children, and low-income families get the support they need.

I will support laws that protect election integrity while ensuring every eligible American can vote. This includes safeguarding voters from intimidation, expanding secure mail-in and early voting—including for military personnel—and modernizing election systems with real-time data to improve accuracy, transparency, and trust in vote counts.
I do not support immigration enforcement that removes people without fair due process. I will support policies that uphold the rule of law while ensuring every person is treated with dignity and human rights. Immigration enforcement must be lawful, humane, and consistent with the constitutional right to due process.
I will advance policies that make living affordable: establish a true living wage, strengthen labor unions and worker protections, and expand access to universal healthcare and free childcare. I will work to lower grocery costs by addressing price manipulation and supporting farmers, and increase affordable housing through rent stabilization, redevelopment of vacant properties, and incentives for builders.
The United States should lead through partnership and example—not as the world’s police. By strengthening diplomacy and restoring development tools like USAID, we can advance stability, support local communities, and build goodwill. Smart investments in diplomacy, development and cooperation strengthen global security while reflecting our values and protecting long-term U.S. interests.
I will protect and strengthen Maryland’s safety net by expanding access to mental health care through universal coverage, fully funding SNAP for families facing rising costs, and investing in housing and support services that help people experiencing homelessness regain stability and independence. No Marylander should be left without basic support in times of need.

Elections are run by the states with federal support. I am supportive of federal laws that provide cybersecurity, physical security, and information sharing assistance from the federal government to the states, as well as those that will deter foreign interference.
I believe we need modernized and bipartisan immigration legislation that addresses our national security and economic needs, I do not support the manner in which our current immigration laws are being enforced. Specifically, I believe judicial warrants should be required for searches of private residences and that all law enforcement involved shootings must be adequately investigated. Law enforcement agencies can only serve the public well if they maintain the trust of the public.
I support efforts to increase the supply of housing through bills such as the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act. Grocery prices can be improved with better tariff and trade policies, reducing rising fuel costs, and reducing the labor shortage in the agricultural industry with better border policies. I support tax policies that defer childcare costs for parents and increase provider options. I will advocate for transparency in healthcare pricing, restoring ACA subsidies, and regulating PBMs.
The United States has for many years played a leading role in promoting stability and security across the world. I believe we should continue these efforts through supporting alliances such as NATO, providing humanitarian aid, promoting the rule of law, and diplomatically mediating conflict. These investments greatly contribute to our national and economic security and reduce regional instability across the world.
I will work to improve the financial sustainability of social safety net programs through efforts such as removing the cap on Social Security taxes and providing long-term funding for crucial assistance programs such as SNAP, WIC, CHIP, and home energy assistance for low income Americans. I believe improved technology in these programs will reduce both administrative burden and help to combat fraud. I will also work to restore ACA subsidies and protect access to Medicaid.

The US have sufficient laws in place to ensure fair elections. Our laws only came into serious attack due to [redacted] not accepting loss in 2020. Continue to enforce current laws
Congress has the sole authority to make, fund, and exercise oversight on Immigration Laws. The Executive Branch cary’s out those laws. I Donot support current approach as roles are not clear
I would rally all stakeholders (Government at all levels, Corporations, Communities and such like) and task to identify clear affordability goals; then setup leadership groups to implement
The US must be an active part of the International Leadership Groups (UN, NATO, etc) in place for peace and protection. The US must protect other Countries right to exist
Maryland’s Social Safety Net Programs are designed to sustain people until they can sustain themselves. These programs only account for under 8% of total State Annual Budget; I would advocate to keep these programs and support efforts to help restore Marylanders to self sufficiency.

I will support any law that maintains the independence of election integrity boards and does not conflate partisan politics with election integrity. This includes supporting bills that increase the number of days to request an absentee ballot, the number of days and locations for early voting, and the number of dropbox and mobile voting center locations. Voting should be easier and more accessible for the American electorate, not more difficult.
No, I do not support the current approaches to enforcing federal immigration laws. ICE is not law enforcement. They do not receive the same level of training as our local and federal law enforcement officers. While we need to work to make our legal immigration process more streamlined and accessible, the current approach to immigration enforcement, regardless of the challenges, is simply inhumane.
Our cost-of-living crisis is a crisis of corporate greed. Wall Street continues to buy single-family homes. While corporations receive huge tax breaks, Maryland families are having to make difficult budget decisions. Access to Medicaid continues to become harder for lower and working-class families. I support higher marginal tax rates on America’s highest earners and corporations to fund our needed social safety net, and I support homebuyer assistance for first-time buyers.
The United States’ role on the world stage is to be a leader in protecting and promoting democracy and human rights. The United States should never hesitate to intervene militarily when there is a true threat to the freedom or security of ourselves or any of our allies. However, the United States’ role in the world is to use its economic, military, and ideological might for protection and liberation, not to conquer for its own sake.
In the same way I have championed social safety net programs for Marylanders in the General Assembly, I will champion them in Congress. I will utilize my position in Congress to stand up to the atrocities being committed by the current presidential administration. If and when necessary, I will take positions that may not be politically popular if I know doing so can safeguard someone’s access to healthcare, their ability to afford rent, or save their job from disappearing because of A.I.
