DUTIES: Judges of the Orphans’ Court supervise the administration of estates. The Orphan’s Court shares jurisdiction with the Circuit Court over guardianships of minors. Orphan’s Court Judges conduct hearings that involve probate and guardianship disputes, review and act upon administration accounts, and request payments from estates or guardianships.TERM: Four years with no term limits.HOW ELECTED: Elected countywide.

I have 29 years of public service in the judicial system and law enforcement. 16 years in the State's Attorney's office for Prince George's Co. My duties included supervision of clerical personnel in 3 District Court locations. Preparation of cases for trial i.e. addressed motions, prepared Criminal Informations, interviewed witnesses and coordinated expert testimony. 3 years Worcester Co. - Office manager, victim witness, multiple other duties.
Law enforcement - Patrol routine duties. Action Team implemented tactics to alleviate crime in high crime areas. Detective - Investigated crimes against persons and property. I
Completed over an additional thousand hours of training in cultural diversity, crisis intervention, investigations etc.
