We are working closely with Tidal Health and Atlantic General Hospital to expand access to care, including growth in the county’s southern region. I support investments in youth recreation, such as the Berlin ball fields and park improvements, to promote active lifestyles. Strengthening the Worcester County Health Department is also essential to serve seniors and underserved residents.
I bring over 25 years of experience as a small local business owner, supported by a degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College. My background includes planning, zoning, and personnel management. As a parent of three in Worcester County Public Schools and spouse of a local Worcester County teacher, I understand the needs of our families and community.
My priority is to uphold responsible growth by directing development to designated areas while preserving farmland and protecting our coastline. Building on Worcester County’s comprehensive plans, I will oppose overdevelopment that threatens rural character, agricultural resources, and environmentally sensitive areas.
As a sitting commissioner, I work closely with our economic development and tourism teams to attract new opportunities. I prioritize strong communication among stakeholders and support efforts to recruit high-quality industries, including technology jobs, particularly in the southern part of the county.
To address rising costs, I support targeted zoning updates, including increased density in appropriate areas. I am working with local developers on innovative solutions such as smaller, fee-simple homes, prefab options, and thoughtfully designed high-density communities that include green space and shared amenities.

Protecting public health in Worcester County begins with clean water, reliable wastewater systems, safe housing, and responsible environmental stewardship. Safeguarding our bays, waterways, and drinking water is essential not only for health but also for our local economy and quality of life. The county must continue maintaining and improving water and sewer infrastructure whilrotecting public health in Worcester County begins with clean water, reliable wastewater systems, safe housing, and responsible environmental stewardship. We must protect our bays and drinking water while ensuring utility systems are managed efficiently and affordably. Responsible oversight and long-term planning help prevent unnecessary cost increases for residents.
My qualifications for County Commissioner come from decades of experience as an entrepreneur, small business consultant, construction professional, and real estate developer overseeing more than 500 residential and commercial projects. I hold an MBA and have managed large budgets, contractors, and complex regulations through multiple economic cycles. My development work in Worcester County has given me practical insight into infrastructure planning, responsible growth, and environmental considerations important to our coastal community. My wife and I also raised our four children through Worcester County schools, strengthening my connection to the community and the decisions that shape its future.
Worcester County should plan carefully for growth while protecting farmland, coastal resources, and the character of our communities. Development should emphasize smart growth with appropriate infill where infrastructure already exists. The county must maintain and improve wastewater treatment facilities and plan for additional sewer capacity so growth does not overwhelm existing systems. We should also evaluate long-term solutions such as expanding centralized sewer service and potential connections to the Ocean City treatment system, which could improve efficiency and reduce costs for residents currently served by older or underperforming systems.
Supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs is essential to a strong local economy. The county should maintain a stable and predictable regulatory environment, invest in infrastructure that supports economic activity, and encourage workforce development in partnership with local schools, trade programs, and businesses. Responsible land-use planning and smart growth policies can also help create opportunities for new businesses while protecting the character of our communities. By focusing on infrastructure, workforce readiness, and a business-friendly environment, Worcester County can attract investment, support local employers, and create sustainable job opportunities for residents while strengthening long-term economic stability.
Housing affordability is a growing concern for first responders, teachers, retirees, the local workforce, and the next generation of our children who want to build their future here. Worcester County should encourage a range of housing options through responsible development and cooperation with the private sector. Smart growth policies that support appropriate infill development can help create attainable housing while making efficient use of existing infrastructure. Ensuring the people who live and work in Worcester County can also afford to live here strengthens families, supports local businesses, and builds a closer community while protecting farmland, coastal resources, and the character of our county.
