I am a life-long Republican, a member of the Wicomico County Republican Club, an executive board member of the Wicomico Conservative Republican Women and a member of the Maryland Federation of Republican Women. As a retired educator, I would like to offer my team-building and organizational skills to help the Wicomico County Republican Central Committee best represent our local Republicans. I believe a role of the Republican Central Committee is to build a cohesive and cooperative organization which will promote the values and priorities of our local Republican party. It is important to listen to party constituents and to organize a coordinated effort to achieve common goals.
I support our current primary system.

As a husband, father of 6, Eagle Scout, and software engineer, I bring strong attention to detail and organizational skills to the table. Since late 2023, I’ve actively engaged with our local government, attending dozens of meetings on budgets, parks, public works, and legislation. This hands-on experience taught me that public involvement is crucial and that government needs everyday citizens. It inspired my 2026 run for the Wicomico Republican Central Committee. I oppose partisan bickering and believe strongly in working collaboratively alongside residents of all political backgrounds to solve local issues. I have a proven track record of doing exactly that.
While I understand the benefits of party systems which allow like-minded individuals to organize and promote shared policies, the unintended consequence is that independent voters are entirely left out of the primary process. As a result, their voices are not considered for the offices that will ultimately govern them. This does not sit well with me. I believe citizens shouldn't have to “bend the knee” to a particular party just to participate in a primary election. Closed systems often result in primary victories that do not accurately reflect the broader desires of the community. Therefore, I favor open primaries, even though I recognize it is not a perfect system.

I have been very involved with various Non-Profit and volunteer organizations. I see firsthand how some laws that are passed are hurting these organizations, but it also has a trickle down effect on the other entities that have to help support these organizations in their time of need. This is where I would like to start out at to learn the process and make sure we are putting the right people in a position to help the majority.
I believe in open primaries to give the unaffiliated voters a chance to chose who they would want. Unaffiliated voters account for a little over 25% of the population.

I have retired after 32 years of employment with the Wicomico Co Board of Education. During the past two years I served on the Central Committee as a replacement when others resigned. This has been a valuable experience and I hope to be able to continue to serve on this important committee.
No, the primary election allows registered members of a party to have a voice in which candidates will represent their party in the general election. Open primaries would reduce the influence of party members to make these selections.
I am a current elected commissioner in the Town of Delmar MD. I have been a part of a commission that has rebuilt an under funded and understaffed police department. Our police department had 7 officers and we put the policies in place that allowed us to hire to the proper staffing number of 21 in under 3 years. We also took a town and its budget from reactive to proactive. Here in Delmar we have completed major sewer system upgrades to pipes and have upgraded a lot at our water treatment plant. It has been quite busy over the last 4 years. I am currently on my second term as a commissioner in Delmar and I believe i can take what I have learned from my tenure to the republican central committee and help steer the party.
I do not favor open primaries. I believe that when choosing a party we have to live with the results of our choices and we currently have a 2 party system that does not allow for open primaries.
