My background as a high school and community college educator and small business owner has prepared me to listen carefully, communicate clearly, and solve problems with common sense. For many years I have worked directly with families, businesses, and community members throughout our county, which has given me a strong understanding of the challenges people face every day. I have built a career focused on service, accountability, and practical solutions. I bring real-world experience, thoughtful leadership, and a commitment to representing the voices and interests of our community with fairness and integrity.
My priority is ensuring that growth and development occur in a responsible, balanced, and sustainable way. As our county grows, our infrastructure, including roads, schools, utilities, and public services, must grow with it. Thoughtful planning and responsible land use policies will help protect our quality of life while supporting economic opportunity. We must preserve the character of our communities while preparing for future growth in a way that benefits residents, businesses, and future generations.
Safeguarding public health begins with improving access to quality and affordable health care and a responsive health department. Many families continue to face challenges due to the rising cost of care, and local government should work with health providers, community organizations, and public agencies to improve access to services. Supporting preventative care, education, and community health programs can help residents stay healthier and reduce long-term health costs. A strong community is built on healthy families, and public health must remain a priority. Housing is closely relate to public health and it supports safe housing for all.
Education and workforce development should be a priority in encouraging economic growth and job creation. By partnering with local schools, trade programs, and community colleges, we can help ensure our residents gain the skills employers are looking for. Supporting local businesses, entrepreneurs, and workforce training programs will strengthen our local economy. The county should promote a fair, transparent business environment that encourages investment, innovation, and opportunity for both new and existing businesses.
Everyone deserves access to safe, comfortable, and affordable housing, regardless of background, income, or political views. The county should work collaboratively with developers, housing agencies, and community partners to expand affordable housing opportunities while maintaining responsible planning. Housing that meets the needs of our youngest and oldest community members is critical to keeping our individuals safe. Housing solutions must also consider infrastructure, transportation, and public services so that growth remains balanced and sustainable. Ensuring stable housing strengthens families, neighborhoods, and the overall health of our community.
