DUTIES: The sheriff performs law enforcement functions, carries out court orders, delivers summonses, and executes bench warrants, and supervises the county corrections facility except in counties where a separate corrections department has been established.SALARY: $70,000 effective January 1, 2015.TERM: Four years, no term limit.HOW ELECTED: Elected county-wide.
