DUTIES: The Clerk of the Circuit Court oversees the office that performs many administrative duties for the Circuit Court, to include processing and maintaining court records. Other duties include recording deeds, mortgages, plats, conveyances and other documents, and collecting fees based on transactions. The Clerk administers oaths to County officials, issues business and marriage licenses, and performs civil marriage ceremonies. The Clerk also commissions Notaries Public.TERM: Four years.HOW ELECTED: Elected countywide.
