Re-entry is essential to public safety. People returning from incarceration often face barriers to housing, jobs, health care, and family stability. As State’s Attorney, I will strengthen partnerships with community organizations, expand workforce and support services, and advocate for second-chance opportunities such as fair hiring. Reducing recidivism requires accountability, coordinated support, and real pathways for returning citizens to rebuild their lives.
Violent crime harms victims and communities and protecting victims must be the top priority. As State’s Attorney, I will pursue accountability for serious offenses while investing in strategies that reduce repeat violence. That means strengthening victim services, supporting re-entry programs, and partnering with schools and community organizations on prevention. Public safety improves when we protect victims, address root causes, and build trust in the justice system.
Public confidence in law enforcement is essential to public safety. When communities trust the justice system, they are more likely to report crimes and cooperate with investigations. As State’s Attorney, I will strengthen that trust through professionalism, transparency and accountability. Drawing on my experience training law enforcement in investigations and community engagement, I will promote fair practices, strong partnerships, and open communication to build a safer Prince George’s County
