My experience has always centered on service, advocacy, and results for our community. I have worked to uplift families, support youth, strengthen neighborhoods, and connect residents to real resources. That work has prepared me to lead with compassion, listen with intention, and make thoughtful decisions that put people first. I understand the challenges our constituents face, and I am committed to delivering responsive, accountable leadership.
My budget priorities are rooted in the everyday needs of our constituents: safer communities, healthier families, and stronger educational advancement opportunities for our youth. I believe our budget should reflect our values by investing in public safety, economic growth, healthy food access, mental health, and programs that strengthen the quality of life in Prince George’s County. Every dollar should be spent with transparency, accountability, and a clear focus on delivering results for District 6 and all of Prince George’s County.
My priorities are smart, equitable growth that protects our communities and preserves quality of life. That means thoughtful land use, stronger environmental protections, cleaner air and water, and development that reflects community input. I believe climate and environmental justice must be part of every decision, especially for neighborhoods too often overlooked, so every resident benefits from healthy, safe, and sustainable communities.
I am committed to advancing educational opportunities that empower our youth to learn, lead, and succeed. That means increasing access to high-quality academic enrichment, mentorship, and out-of-school programs; strengthening partnerships that invest in youth development and achievement; and ensuring every young person has the tools, support, and resources needed to thrive in school and beyond.
To protect the county against future epidemics, we must strengthen public health preparedness, improve communication, and build community trust before a crisis begins. My public health priorities include behavioral health, maternal and child health, chronic disease prevention, access to healthy food, senior wellness, and stronger support for families and youth. Healthy communities are built through prevention, partnership, and readiness.
I would support policies that provide meaningful tax relief for homeowners while protecting the county’s ability to deliver essential services. That means looking at targeted strategies for seniors, working families, and longtime residents facing rising costs. We must balance affordability with responsibility, so people can remain in their homes, build generational stability, and continue investing in the communities they helped strengthen.
County government can encourage economic development and job growth by investing in small businesses, attracting responsible new development, supporting workforce training, and creating stronger pathways to opportunities for constituents. We must connect people to good-paying jobs, prepare youth and adults for growing industries, and ensure our local economy works for every community. When we invest in people and places, we create lasting growth.
I support increasing affordable housing through responsible development, preservation of existing affordable units, and policies that help working families, seniors, and longtime residents remain in their communities. To address homelessness, we need stronger prevention, rental assistance, supportive services, and coordinated partnerships that move people from crisis to stability with dignity, compassion, and long-term support.
My top three priorities are grounded in the S.H.E. Initiative: Safer Communities, Healthier Families, and Educational Advancement for Youth. That means investing in public safety and prevention, expanding access to healthy food, wellness, and family supports, and creating more pathways for young people to succeed through education, enrichment, and opportunity. These priorities reflect my commitment to building stronger, safer, and more connected communities.

I am running for Prince George’s County Council, District 6, because our community deserves leadership that listens, acts, and delivers. With nearly a decade of experience in public policy and government, the last three of which were served within the County Council, I understand how local decisions affect families, seniors, small businesses, and long-time homeowners.
My priorities for the county’s budget are economic development, education, and public safety in the county’s budget. Strong investments in public education to ensure students are prepared for college and careers; collaborative public safety strategies, youth prevention programs, and policies that grow small and minority-owned businesses while creating good-paying local jobs for District 6 residents.
As a council member, I support strategic, community-driven growth that balances development with environmental stewardship. My priorities include protecting natural resources, addressing climate impacts, and ensuring development includes infrastructure improvements, traffic solutions, and school capacity planning. I also support equitable planning so all communities benefit from sustainable development and environmental protections.
By increasing county revenue and maintaining strong fiscal responsibility, we can invest more resources into education. Partnering closely with the Board of Education will help streamline administrative processes, ensure efficient budget expenditures, and maximize the impact of available funding. This collaborative approach supports improved educational opportunities while maintaining responsible financial management across the county.
Ensure emergency funds remain fully stocked and ready for rapid deployment. Coordinate with the county executive to develop strong emergency response plans in the event of an epidemic. Research successful prevention initiatives used in other jurisdictions and adapt them to strengthen local preparedness. Work with state and federal partners to identify, monitor, and respond to emerging public health threats effectively.
Build county revenue through responsible, community-based development that strengthens the local economy. Ensure new development includes incentives and agreements that help offset budget needs while easing pressure on property taxes. Implement clear safeguards so property taxes are not used as the primary method for raising revenue, protecting residents while maintaining sustainable funding for essential public services.
The county can encourage economic development by supporting small business growth, expanding opportunities for minority-owned businesses, and strengthening workforce development programs. I support responsible commercial investment that creates clear pathways to good-paying local jobs, ensuring economic growth benefits District 6 residents while keeping the county competitive and opportunity accessible to the community.
Promote affordable housing by requiring incentives within major county developments and generating revenue to provide subsidies for developers who build affordable units. Support the expansion of housing options by offering financial incentives for the renovation and construction of homeless shelters. These efforts help increase housing availability, reduce homelessness, and ensure more residents have access to safe, stable, and affordable living conditions.
My top three priorities are streamlining the development process to encourage more grocery stores and family-centered entertainment options across the county, strengthening fiscal responsibility and oversight within the budget process, and supporting balanced economic growth that benefits residents while maintaining responsible spending and long-term financial stability for the county.

My experience in community advocacy, policy analysis, and coalition‑building has prepared me to serve effectively in this office. I’ve worked closely with residents, labor partners, and local organizations to address housing, jobs, and environmental challenges. My academic training at Yale and the Harvard Kennedy School strengthened my skills in public leadership, data‑driven policymaking, and equitable governance. Combined with a results‑oriented, people‑centered approach, this foundation equips me to deliver accountable, community‑focused solutions for Prince George’s County.
My budget priorities focus on expanding affordable housing, strengthening public schools and youth programs, and improving healthcare access and community health services. I will invest in reliable transit, safe infrastructure, and climate resilient projects that protect neighborhoods from flooding and heat. I will ensure fair wages for County workers and contractors and support small and local businesses through targeted grants and procurement opportunities. Every budget decision should advance equity, economic stability, and long term wellbeing for working families across Prince George’s County.
My priorities are preserving mature trees and green spaces, steering development toward smart, transit‑oriented areas, and strengthening climate‑resilience infrastructure to reduce flooding and extreme‑heat risks. I will expand clean‑energy initiatives, protect watersheds, and enforce strong environmental standards in new projects. Centering environmental justice, I will direct investments to communities most burdened by pollution and under-investment, ensuring they benefit first from cleaner air, safer streets, and greener neighborhoods. Every land‑use decision should protect residents, safeguard health, and build long‑term sustainability.
I will strengthen community support for public schools by expanding family engagement, increasing transparency on school needs and progress, and building strong partnerships with nonprofits, unions, and local businesses. I will advocate for more resources for teachers, modern facilities, and robust after‑school, mentorship, and career‑readiness programs. I will also ensure students have access to mental‑health and social‑emotional supports. By making schools true community hubs and investing in the whole child, we can deepen trust, raise outcomes, and unite the community behind our public schools.
To safeguard the County’s health against future epidemics, I will strengthen our public‑health infrastructure by expanding community clinics, investing in early‑warning systems, and improving data‑sharing across agencies. I will increase funding for prevention—vaccinations, testing capacity, and rapid‑response teams—and ensure equitable access to care in under-served neighborhoods. My priorities include expanding mental‑health services, improving emergency preparedness, and deepening partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and local health providers. Public health must be proactive, community‑based, and accessible to every resident.
I would address decreasing property‑tax revenues by broadening and stabilizing the County’s revenue base while protecting homeowners—especially seniors and low‑income families. This includes promoting smart, high‑value development in transit‑oriented areas, supporting small‑business growth, and improving economic activity that naturally expands the tax base. I will also ensure responsible budgeting, reduce inefficiencies, and leverage state and federal funding to avoid over‑reliance on property taxes. The goal is long‑term fiscal health without placing additional burdens on working families.
The County can encourage economic development and job growth by investing in transit‑oriented development, supporting small and minority‑owned businesses with grants and technical assistance, and expanding workforce training tied to high‑growth industries. Strengthening partnerships with unions, community colleges, and employers will create clear pathways to good‑paying jobs. Streamlining permitting, upgrading infrastructure, and promoting high‑road employers will attract responsible investment. These strategies grow the economy while ensuring residents benefit from stable, quality jobs.
I would expand affordable housing by increasing funding for preservation and construction, strengthening inclusionary‑zoning requirements, and supporting community land trusts to keep homes permanently affordable. I will protect tenants through stronger anti‑displacement policies and rental‑assistance programs. To address homelessness, I will invest in supportive housing, expand shelter capacity, and improve access to mental‑health, employment, and wraparound services. Partnering with nonprofits, faith communities, and housing providers will ensure residents have stable pathways from homelessness to long‑term housing.
My top three priorities are expanding access to quality healthcare, strengthening public schools, and increasing economic opportunity for working families. I will improve community health services, expand clinics, and remove barriers to care. I will invest in teachers, facilities, and youth programs to ensure strong schools. And I will grow a fair, inclusive economy by supporting small businesses, expanding workforce training, and ensuring fair wages for County workers and contractors. These priorities build a healthier, more equitable Prince George’s County.
