DUTIES: The Republican County Central Committee directs the day-to-day operations of the local Republican Party. The Central Committee recommends candidates to the Governor to fill vacancies in the General Assembly when a republican Delegate or Senator from Montgomery County resigns or dies in office and to fill vacancies at the County Board of Elections and certain other county agencies. County Committee members also are members of the State Republican Central Committee, which in turn helps choose the leaders of the Republican National Committee.HOW ELECTED: County Committee members are elected locally by registered party members. Voters elect two (2) members from each of the county's eight legislative districts wholly located within the county and one (1) member from district 9/9A, which is partially located in Montgomery County.TERM: Four years, no term limit. I am motivated to support conservate values in Montgomery County. Serving would allow me to help vet qualified candidates to vacant seats and promote the Maryland GOP platform. I have lived in Montgomery County for 40+ years.
