With more than 25 years of experience in the Montgomery County Judiciary, I bring a deep understanding of court operations. I have served as Clerk of the Circuit Court since 2021 and was elected by the voters of Montgomery County in 2022. Previously, I served as Chief Deputy Clerk for seven years. I am also a graduate of the Institute for Court Management, a nationally recognized program that strengthened my knowledge of court leadership and administration.
My office reflects the diversity of our county, with 190 employees of varied ages, backgrounds, and experiences. This diversity, including within my management team, helps foster an inclusive workplace where cultural awareness is valued. By maintaining a diverse staff and promoting respect, professionalism, and ongoing awareness, we ensure our team interacts with all residents in a culturally sensitive and respectful manner.
The biggest challenge facing the Clerk’s office has been the transition from a paper-driven system to the Maryland Electronic Courts (MDEC) case management system. While the Maryland Judiciary completed statewide implementation in 2024, the work of adapting processes and supporting staff, judges, attorneys, justice partners, and the public continues. With strong leadership, clear communication, and training, I will ensure the office continues providing efficient service to our community.
