Education, infrastructure maintenance, and economic development. These three priorities are essential to the growth and success of the county.
Discourage the construction of any more solar farms and data centers; promote and encourage the construction and availability of affordable, obtainable workforce housing.
Expand the business and economic development department of the county, create a county housing agency, and a county transit agency.
We need to hold the line on property tax increases and other fees imposed by the county. We need to encourage the construction of more affordable and obtainable housing for our citizens and our workers.
Encourage the development of more obtainable workforce housing by creating more projects like the Grantsville initiative. Expand and improve the county program for first-time home buyers.
I believe that the main issues in this election are not Democratic or Republican issues, but values that all citizens of Garrett County can relate to and respond to. The voters deserve transparency, accountability, intregrity, and responsibility from their elected leaders and officials in county government.
