I have been serving as Register of Wills since 2022. I have gained knowledge and experience since being a Register. Prior to serving as Register, I was an Orphan's Court (probate court) Judge. During that time, I worked with the Register of Wills working with probate issues.
The priority of the job is to help families that have lost loved ones. This can be a very difficult time in their lives, and my role is to help them through the probate process with kindness, respect and knowledge. A challenge that I have addressed in the last 4 years is to educate the public about the importance of having a will. These priorities have been accomplished by community outreach and sponsoring pro-bono days at Frederick Community College.
