I’ve worked in both the private and public sectors. I worked for two labor unions, NEA MB and Union Privilege, where I supported contract negotiations, job reclassifications, and compensation reviews.
I was President of the Women’s Democratic League of Frederick County, and I am a member of the Frederick County Democratic Central Committee.
Across every job and position I’ve held, one theme has remained constant: serving constituents. I’m committed to bringing that same energy and responsiveness
I signed the ballot against the Critical Digital Infrastructure overlay. Since data centers require significant electricity, we need to ensure that these centers demonstrate responsible energy use and minimize strain on our power grid.
As someone originally from NY, I have seen how rent stabilization protects working families from sudden and excessive rent increases. To counteract rising housing costs, Frederick County needs to strengthen tenant protections. I support rent stabilization as part of a broader housing strategy if renters face sustained, steep rent increases. Local government has a responsibility to prevent displacement while expanding affordable housing, encouraging responsible development, and ensuring that long
Our local government must ensure all residents feel safe accessing schools, health care, and law enforcement without fear. I support policies that clearly separate local public services from federal immigration enforcement, except in cases involving serious violent crime. Maryland recently ended 287 (g), which operated in Frederick County. At the county level, we should focus on protecting civil rights, preventing racial profiling, supporting community trust, and ensuring that county services ar
Frederick County must strengthen its commitment to sustainability and climate resilience. I support protecting farmland and forests, promoting smart growth, and expanding renewable energy.
We must also invest in stormwater management, flood mitigation, and strong infrastructure to address increasing extreme weather. Protecting our waterways and reducing runoff into Chesapeake Bay must remain a priority. By working with farmers, businesses, and residents, we can reduce emissions, protect natural

I grew up in Frederick County and around municipal government. I understand the everyday struggle that our neighbors go through from balancing their at home budget and making decisions when it comes to paying the bills. My life experience as a working man and my education allows me to talk to the real life experiences our residents face daily. From paying outrageous property taxes to dealing with our poor infrastructure, I know what its like to live and work in Frederick County.
If we are to continue with our use of technology, then the "need" for data centers will increase. However, with the states lack of energy independence, we must slow expansion until Annapolis fixes it's energy policy. We also must not lose sight of the potential revenue and restrict its spending to our infrastructure. I also support efforts to implement SMRs, supplying clean energy while reducing the strain on the power grid. Lastly, we must ensure quality of life by allowing community input.
The rising cost of housing is caused by lack of supply and over regulation by local government. We must allow for a straight forward process for development that allows for a diverse set of housing options for our first time home buyers and young families while we work to maintain our infrastructure by prioritizing spending.
We need to reinstate 287(g) and empower local law enforcement to do their job. In 2025 ICE had over 60 targets in the western Maryland region, only 2 were located in Frederick County. That's because of the excellent job the FCSO did in keeping our streets safe. 287(g) kept ICE off the streets in Frederick County.
We must advocate for Small modular reactors for data centers to allow for sustainable clean energy. Push for Solar panels to be utilized in what is already "grey space" like parking lots and rooftops, keeping them off of farms. Support legislators in Annapolis who advocate for expanding our nuclear energy and keeping power plants like, Brandon Shores, online.

I bring policy/legal expertise, leadership in large organizations like Amtrak, and hands-on experience working with public institutions and serving on boards like the Maryland Longitudinal Data System Center Governing Board and the Frederick County Special Education Citizens Advisory Committee. These experiences have strengthened my ability to analyze complex issues, build consensus, and collaboratively make thoughtful, data-informed decisions on behalf of Frederick County residents.
We're experiencing rapid technological change. Data centers are infiltrating our economy and their intense industrial use brings significant challenges our society is not ready for, particularly around land use, energy demand, water consumption, and environmental, health, and community impact. Frederick County should have limited the CDI Overlay Zone to the Planning Commission's recommendation and should have waited for the state study bill to complete its work before proceeding further.
I support legislation that encourages the development of diverse housing types such as smaller homes, accessory dwelling units, inclusionary zoning, and mixed-income communities so that people at different income levels have options. Streamlining permitting processes and reducing unnecessary barriers to building smaller or starter homes can help increase supply. Any rent stabilization policy should be carefully designed, data-driven, and paired with incentives to continue building new housing.
Protecting civil rights and ensuring fair treatment under the law for everyone must remain a priority. While immigration enforcement is primarily a federal responsibility, local government has an important role in ensuring that local services such as schools, health services, and emergency response remain accessible to everyone. When people are afraid to seek medical care, report crimes, or send their children to school, it undermines the safety and well-being of the entire community.
I support expanding renewable energy, improving energy efficiency in public buildings, preserving our farmland and natural resources, and encouraging smart growth near transit that reduces sprawl and transportation emissions.
Sustainability is not only about protecting the environment. It is also about protecting public health, strengthening our local economy, and ensuring that future generations can thrive in Frederick County.
