My experience with estates, guardianships, and trusts comes through my work as a certified mediator, where I help families navigate conflict around inheritance, caregiving, and decision-making for vulnerable individuals. I work in complex, emotional situations, ensuring all voices are heard and guiding fair outcomes. While I am not an attorney, this role requires judgment, balance, and the ability to make thoughtful decisions for families.
I am required to complete ongoing ethics training as part of my mediation certification, and I apply those standards consistently. In my work, I follow a structured process that ensures neutrality, transparency, and equal voice for all parties. I have mediated cases involving public figures and have applied the same process regardless of who is involved. Fairness is not situational. It is a standard I uphold in every case.
The three core values I bring are fairness, clarity, and accountability. Fairness ensures balanced, unbiased decisions. Clarity helps people understand complex processes involving families and assets. Accountability ensures responsible decision-making and that those entrusted with assets or authority are held to a high standard.

I have over 20 years' experience in probate, estate planning education, mediation, and administrative support with estate and succession documentation and planning. I have worked with families navigating probate, guardianship, and trust matters, and have a thorough understanding of the process and documents presented before the Court. As a certified mediator, I support fair, impartial resolution and stay current on probate matters through my affiliation with the Maryland State Bar Association.
To ensure fairness and impartiality, I will follow the responsibilities of the Orphans’ Court by applying established procedures consistently and without bias. Each case will be reviewed based on its facts and documentation, without influence from status or position. I will remain neutral, ensure all parties are heard, and treat everyone with dignity and equal consideration. My approach will be grounded in integrity, respect, and empathy, including disclosure and recusal when appropriate.
The three most important core values I will apply are integrity, respect, and empathy. Integrity ensures that matters are handled honestly and in accordance with the rules of the State of Maryland and the Orphans’ Court, with an understanding of established processes. Respect ensures that everyone is treated with dignity and equal consideration. Empathy allows for understanding the emotional nature of family matters while maintaining neutrality, professionalism, fairness, and consistency.
