My fiscal goals for Charles County are simple: make the rapid growth pay for itself so development doesn’t hurt residents. We must protect our local economy by uplifting small businesses and reducing reliance on commuters and residential taxes. More support for our businesses mean more revenue without raising taxes on residents. Lastly, we must protect residents dollars through transparent, disciplined budgeting that plans for long-term stability and prevents future increases.
Preserve what makes Charles County unique, develop smartly, and ensure infrastructure keeps pace with growth. We must protect farmland and natural resources through land preservation and education. Growth should focus on mixed use and redevelopment to reduce sprawl. Finally, infrastructure must come first roads, schools, and public safety must be in place before new development is approved.
First, we must support and grow local businesses by expanding access to capital through grants and low-interest loans and creating a one-stop business services office. We also need to expand broadband and digital infrastructure businesses follow infrastructure, and if it’s hard to operate here, they won’t come. Finally, we should promote Charles County as a regional destination by supporting agritourism, including farms, markets, and events, which builds revenue while preserving our rural charac
I will incentivize workforce housing for teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, and young professionals. Affordability also means good local jobs, so I’ll create a one stop hub for business support permits, funding, and mentorship in one place. I’ll lower everyday costs by expanding broadband to increase competition and reduce prices for our underserved communities many residents need opinions I’ll also support local agriculture to stabilize food costs and keep dollars in our community.
I will expand affordable housing by increasing the supply of workforce and entry-level homes while preserving the character of our communities. That means creating strong incentives for developers to include housing for teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, and young professionals, ensuring the people who serve our county can afford to live here.
I’m running to deliver real results because our lively hood depends on it. I was born and raised here, and my family has lived here for generations. I’ve spent years organizing in the community i’ve brought people together, led initiatives that made a real impact, and never waited for permission to step up.Our county is growing, and with that growth comes challenges but also opportunity.I’m someone who listens. Whether you’re a Democrat, Republican, or Independent, your voice matters to me.
