1. I am a lifelong County resident with the following : Skills - Third generation Retail business owner with the requisite Customer Service ability to execute the demands of County Treasurer. Experience - Three term Calvert County Commissioner.
I saw first hand how our County staff is hardworking, diligent, and professional with taxpayers. My greatest challenge I see is continuing the positive environment to maintain the level of service our Community wants, needs, and deserves.
It comes down to trust and relationships. Communication is key, utilization of Technology services is where I will begin.
Outreach : Establish a Work Session with the Board of County Commissioners if they permit its presence on the weekly Agenda to go over the ‘Treasurers Office’ roles and responsibilities inclusive of income-based property tax credits as well as a review of all current tax credits available for taxpayers.
Priorities: The top three priorities: a) Maintain Efficiencies. b) Be proactive in Customer Services to Constituents c) Be adaptive in policies and procedures.
