PRIORITIES: What are your priorities for this office?
ASSISTANCE TO THE PUBLIC: What will you do to make certain that all Baltimore County residents receive the best service and the fairest treatment from this office?
I am a career estates and trusts attorney who worked for 10 years at Ober Kaler as an estates and trusts attorney. I then spent 5 years with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General where I represented all the Registers of Wills Offices and Orphans' Courts around the State.
First and foremost, I try to break the mold of how a government office operates. This includes highly trained and responsive staff. I run an efficient office that is highly responsive to our customers. My next top priority is community outreach. I provide hundreds of estate planning and financial literacy outreach events each year around the County.
I run an efficient and responsive office. My office has a reputation as a good place to work, so I am able to recruit the very best candidates. All Baltimore County residents and their families deserve a government that works for them and treats them as a customer. My goal is to make sure the people who work with my office leave with the feeling that they were listened to and valued. I take customer feedback seriously and I demand the very best service from my staff. That is our culture.

My duties and skills prepare me well for the Register of Wills because they emphasize accuracy, organization, and strong customer service—qualities that are essential when handling estate and probate matters. In my previous roles, I have regularly managed sensitive documents, maintained detailed records, payroll and ensured that information was processed correctly and in compliance with established procedures.
I also have experience assisting members of the public, explaining processes clearly.
My priorities for the office of the Register of Wills would focus on efficiency, accuracy, and service to the community. I would prioritize ensuring that probate and estate filings are processed accurately and in a timely manner so families can move through the legal process without unnecessary delays. I also would focus on improving accessibility and communication with the public and bringing awareness to the office. I will focus on compassion and care during their time of need.
To make sure all Baltimore County residents receive the best service and fairest treatment, I plan to focus on being accessible, transparent, and consistent in how we serve the public. It will be a priority that every resident who contacts the Register of Wills office is treated with respect, patience, and professionalism. I will work to ensure that the probate process is clearly explained so people understand their responsibilities and options.
