My experience and skills in motherhood and childcare translate well to the duties of a clerk of court because it demonstrates strong organizational skills , attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure. Coordinating schedules, maintaining order and handling sensitive situations with patience and discretion mirror the clerk’s responsibilities in managing records, scheduling hearings, and assisting the public.
My priorities for this office would be to focus on providing timely access to public records and assisting the public with court procedures. I also want to insure we have financial accountability with handling court fees, fines and payments accurately and transparently.
I will review open data initiatives through the office of government reform and strategic initiatives (GRSI)to monitor how departments are performing. I will also make residents aware Baltco 311 is the most direct way to ensure fair service for non- emergency issues( like road repairs or trash collection). Filling a formal 311 report creates a paper trail that is subject to the public Information Act (PIA), making the resolution process transparent.
