I am a small business owner and marketing director with over 20 years of experience solving problems and managing budgets. Raised by a single mother and strong women, I learned resilience and responsibility early. District 9 built much of this county’s backbone, and I will ensure our community receives the focus and investment it has earned.
Public safety must come first. Families cannot thrive without stability. District 9 is home to the Port, Tradepoint Atlantic, Amazon, and major industry, yet many residents feel overlooked. We must address vacant properties, struggling corridors, infrastructure, and school capacity with consistent presence and real accountability.
Growing up with a single mother meant every dollar mattered. District 9 generates enormous economic value for the county. Taxpayers deserve to see that contribution reflected in safe streets, strong schools, and modern infrastructure. I support strong audits, eliminating waste, and transparent reporting.
Families in District 9 deserve stability and opportunity. I support mixed use growth near transit, strong affordable housing standards, and fair housing enforcement while protecting established neighborhoods and green space. Growth must respect community character, match infrastructure capacity, and reflect public input.
District 9 powers the county’s industrial base. The Port, Tradepoint Atlantic, and Amazon operate here. These employers should be strong community partners. I support workforce pipelines, apprenticeships, local hiring commitments, and community benefit agreements so prosperity is shared locally.
District 9 carries heavy industrial traffic and aging systems that require sustained investment. Roads, water systems, and public facilities must be modernized with clear timelines and accountability. Our community deserves visible reinvestment and a council member who shows up, listens, and follows through.

Having been involved in community affairs and civic engagement since the age of 12, I am no stranger to talking with my neighbors about whats on their minds. I am currently the Vice President of the Todd’s Inheritance Historic Site, Recording Secretary for the North Point Council, have stood with workers on the picket line, and when your family owns the Sea Horse Inn, you will hear peoples opinions all day long as I have. I have done a lot of the listening, now it is time to deliver the results.
I believe the most pressing issues in our county are affordability and just plain greed. I believe our next councilman must articulate a real vision to get our county’s economy back on track not only for the privileged few but for every man and woman who work hard day in and day out, see their paychecks get smaller and at the same time see the political and economic elite from both sides get richer beyond comprehension. Forgotten working people of our county need real advocates. I will be one.
To not balance it on the backs of working families. The county government has a moral and practical obligation to ensure that everyone, especially big businesses and wealthy individuals, contributes their fair share to the county government services we all use and not shift that burden on all other tax payers who struggle to get by.
Whenever I approach any issue, be it housing, our environment, or anything else, I will always do what is best for our district’s resident because I have never and will never bow to the interests of big developers because I do not and will never take their money.
Across nearly every department in Baltimore County government there are personnel gaps that have crippled the effectiveness of our government services and have cost more money than it has saved. From vacancies in our schools, our police to investing in our many amenities and pieces of infrastructure. There are plenty of good paying union jobs to be created across our district. Now we need a councilman who possesses the will to do it.
We need a serious and comprehensive plan to invest in the infrastructure we all depend on which has been neglected by our County Council for too long. We have rec centers, schools, roads, parks, etc., who require vital repairs to not only rectify visual damage but also the disrepair that can pose lethal risks to public safety and not have nefarious political motives determine when our infrastructure gets repaired like what’s happening with the Key Bridge.

As a local business owner , I’ve spent years managing budgets, solving problems, and working directly with people in District 9. Running a Marina requires leadership, accountability and long term planning. I have built relationships in the community. I will bring that practical experience and commitment to serving District 9.
The most pressing issues facing Baltimore County are managing its growth, improving public safety, supporting strong public schools, and protecting our waterfront communities. We must also focus on its infrastructure , traffic snd ensuring small businesses can thrive.
The priorities for the budget shoould be supporting the Baltimore County Police Dept.,the school systems and infrastructure. We have a responsibility to spend taxpayers dollars wisely. I want to make responsible decisions that keep the county’s budget balanced for the long term.
District 9 is already seeing overdevelopment and overcrowding. We should focus on smart growth. Support housing where the infrastructure can handle while saving the green space we have. You dont want to overwhelm the roads, schools and local resources.
We should support small business and help businesses that are local to grow. We need to attract new industries but respect the communities they are placed in. A strong local economy provides jobs and strengthens our community.
We need to invest in repairing the infrastructure. The water and sewer systems need maintaining before problems occur and have costly repairs. The county should have smart planning in place for upcoming repairs and prioritize critical projects that support our community while making sure District 9 stays a great place to live and work.
Skills and Experience: Law degree, Juris Doctor, and a Master's degree of Laws, Loss Control, and Risk management. Active in addressing community issues as President of the Rosedale Community Association. Has represented citizens and businesses before zoning, liquor, and code enforcement boards, presenting expert testimony and advocacy. Experienced in local issues and government processes, ready to serve as Councilman effectively from day one.
Crime and rising juvenile crime; failing schools due to overcrowding, disruptive students, and insufficient support for teachers and parents; cameras inside classrooms, overdevelopment of housing and apartments straining infrastructure; and ongoing sewage and water issues at the Back River Wastewater Treatment Plant, contributing to pollution in the Chesapeake Bay and harming crabs and local fisheries.
Baltimore County must maintain its AAA bond rating, unlike the State of Maryland, which recently lost its tripleA status. The County should carefully evaluate ("window shop") any proposed projects and prioritize responsible spending, while avoiding new taxes on citizens and businesses.
Strongly support preserving green space to protect the environment, manage water runoff, and maintain Baltimore County's beauty and quality of life. Nothing like breathing fresh air. Oppose overdevelopment. Affordable housing should be shared across all districts, not concentrated in select areas. Support eliminating property taxes for seniors 65+ and encourage new ONE bedroom-only housing options for retirees.
Support and Partner with Trade Point Atlantic. Provide targeted, long-term tax incentives to attract companies that offer high-wage jobs. Focus on bringing advanced manufacturing and technology employers to Baltimore County-similar to companies like Mary Kay, Spanx, Canva, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Cloudflare, and Cisco-coupled with the growth of professional medical and research positions, such as those associated with johns Hopkins, to strengthen the local economy and career opportunities.
Prioritize and analyze the County's most critical infrastructure needs, emphasizing preventive maintenance and risk management. Require new developments to be built with durable, long-lasting materials, with infrastructure costs paid upfront by developers or project owners. Ensure older communities receive fair reinvestment so that roads, streets, and infrastructure are maintained equally across all districts.

My current role at Johns Hopkins requires problem-solving, accountability, and clear communication. These are the
same qualities the county needs in an effective county councilmember. I also worked for Maryland’s Department of
Business and Economic Development, gaining experience with government operations and economic policy. As a
lifelong Baltimore County resident, I understand local issues and the role of county government in addressing them.
Key issues facing the county include school overcrowding and aging infrastructure. Public safety, traffic, and road
conditions also remain ongoing concerns for many communities. In the future, the county must manage growth
responsibly, maintain responsive service levels, and protect residents’ quality of life.
The county budget should prioritize core services such as education, public safety, infrastructure, and maintenance
while remaining balanced. Careful oversight, long-term planning, and transparency are necessary to ensure funds are
used efficiently and aligned with county needs.
Housing policy should balance affordability, fair housing, and preservation of existing communities and green space.
Development decisions should consider school capacity, infrastructure, and transportation. Responsible planning and
enforcement of existing regulations can help maintain community stability while meeting housing needs.
County government can support economic development by assisting small businesses, maintaining reliable
infrastructure, and improving permitting and regulatory processes. Effective policy and strong partnerships can support
job growth and strengthen local commercial areas.
Addressing aging infrastructure requires prioritizing maintenance and repairs to roads, water systems, schools, and
public facilities. Infrastructure planning should be transparent, data-driven, and coordinated with growth to reduce
long-term costs and service disruptions.

The County Council provides governance and oversight of Baltimore County’s executive agencies and nearly $5 billion budget. I bring decades of professional experience to this role including competency in budget management, facilitation and negotiation. As a community volunteer, I have a proven track record of working with others to improve Baltimore County, including as a Trustee of the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) since 2017 and as Board Chair for the past four years.
Aside from slow economic growth and population decline, Baltimore County faces unprecedented budget pressure due to decisions of the Maryland General Assembly. Annapolis has passed funding mandates with no way to pay for them other than to push down costs to counties. Reduced state aid coupled with increasing costs means challenging times ahead. Baltimore County must focus on economic and workforce development to grow the local economy, reduce unemployment, and attract new business investment.
Baltimore County can and must improve Public Safety, fix crumbling roads, and address aging schools and infrastructure without raising taxes. I have great concern that the Maryland General Assembly failed to expand the authority of the Baltimore County Office of the Inspector General to oversee Baltimore County Public Schools. Funding for BCPS accounts for roughly half of the county budget. Increased oversight is a reasonable step in ensuring transparency and fiscal responsibility.
Southeast Baltimore County is home to some of the oldest housing stock in Baltimore County, much of it originally built as affordable housing for workers in the local steel and shipbuilding industries at Sparrows Point. While homeownership was once the norm, rentals now make up nearly 40% of the local market. Untended and neglected vacancies are a problem in many of our neighborhoods. I would support efforts to redevelop blighted areas and encourage home ownership.
The new 9th District is home to Tradepoint Atlantic, the leading economic engine in Baltimore County. Persistent cooperation between TPA and the County is essential to continued economic development and job growth. As a Trustee of the Community College of Baltimore County, I’m proud of CCBC’s responsiveness to the needs of local employers. From Truck Drivers to Nurses to Cybersecurity professionals, CCBC continues to train Baltimore County residents to obtain the jobs that are in demand.
Despite strides in addressing aging infrastructure there is more to be done, including maintaining our "triple-triple A" bond rating. This allows the county to secure low interest rates and save millions on capital projects. Aside from repairing the damage to our local roads due to diverted traffic absent the Key Bridge, I also support and encourage the building of a new Sparrows Point Middle School, Sparrows Point High School and redevelopment of the North Point Government Center.

With over a decade of community leadership in Dundalk, I have worked with residents, nonprofits, and local leaders to address community needs. Through Neighborhood Companions Inc. and service with the Turner Station Conservation Teams Inc, Girl Scout Troop 353, Baltimore County Arts Guild, NeighborSpace of Baltimore County, and Johns Hopkins Patient Family Advisory Council, I have built partnerships, managed programs, and advocated for resources that strengthen our communities.
Baltimore County faces several pressing issues, including aging infrastructure, flooding in vulnerable communities, rising housing costs, public safety, and ensuring access to quality services for older adults and families. We must also invest in opportunities for youth, including mentorship, recreation, and workforce pathways, while strengthening economic development, transportation, and community resources so all residents can thrive.
Our budget should prioritize strong core services while remaining fiscally responsible. Investments in public safety, infrastructure, flood mitigation, education, and youth opportunities are essential. We must also support older adults aging in place, expand transportation options, and invest in community programs that strengthen neighborhoods. Careful planning, transparency, and strategic partnerships will help ensure a balanced and sustainable budget.
Housing affordability and fair housing must be balanced with thoughtful land use and environmental stewardship. Through my work with NeighborSpace of Baltimore County, an urban land trust, I’ve supported efforts that preserve green spaces and create community assets. These spaces improve health, strengthen neighborhoods, and protect the environment. Smart planning can expand housing opportunities while preserving the green spaces that make our communities livable.
County government can encourage job growth by supporting small businesses, investing in workforce development, and strengthening partnerships with local employers. Expanding access to job training, apprenticeships, and career pathways for youth and adults will help residents access good-paying jobs. Strategic investment in infrastructure and revitalizing commercial corridors can also attract businesses and create sustainable economic opportunities across the county.
Baltimore County must prioritize investment in repairing and modernizing aging infrastructure, including roads, stormwater systems, and public facilities. Addressing flooding in vulnerable communities must be a top priority. I support strategic planning, stronger state and federal partnerships, and investing in resilient infrastructure that protects neighborhoods, improves safety, and prepares our communities for future growth and climate challenges.
