In my first term as Sheriff, I focused on modernizing the office, humanizing the eviction process, and expanding the role of deputies in protecting our courts and communities. In reimagining what we do, we successfully advocated outside the box of typical City funding--winning several state grant awards. If re-elected, I will continue to help when the people ask, because I work directly for them.
As Sheriff, I believe fairness and respect must guide every interaction. I continue to enforce strong policies on bias-free policing, clear accountability standards, and ongoing training that emphasize professionalism, cultural awareness, and constitutional rights. I am proud to maintain our deputy sheriff culture, as our deputies serve the public with dignity and police to the community standard.
I will keep expanding what humanizing the eviction process means and what it can do for those most in need, grow our community partnerships with our newly created and historic Neighborhood Services Unit, and continue modernizing the Sheriff’s Office. These priorities reflect my values, as we work alongside residents to maintain public trust, be transparent, and police to the community standard.

As a former Major in the Baltimore City Police Department and retired Assistant Sheriff in the Sheriff's Office, I have the experience and courage to be the next Sheriff of Baltimore. As the former Northern District Commander, I have commanded over more officers than are currently working in the BCSO. I will work closely with other agencies to offset the resource areas in which the S.O. lacks.
My entire career has been in public safety. I unequivocally stand for justice, and justice requires accountability. When I become Sheriff, I will implement a Professional Integrity Bureau (PIB) within the BCSO to receive and resolve complaints and concerns from members of the Office. Specifically, this PIB will manage issues related to discrimination and unequal treatment to ensure a just office.
As sheriff, I’ll ensure that integrity and transparency are a regular part of the office’s day-to-day operations. I’ll maintain an open-door policy so that members of the BCSO have a direct line of communication with leadership. My leadership prioritizes public safety, community engagement, and effective courthouse management, echoing sentiments I hear from residents and other elected officials.
