Prior to Register of Wills, I served as Executive Director of County United Way to provide services for families and individuals in need. My career also included over 18 years in state government as District Administrator to two State Senators managing constituent services and public relations. I also had additional work experience at Frostburg State in personnel, finance, development and alumni programs. Have served on many organization's boards and actively involved in the community.
I am very proud of the small, but seasoned, staff we have to serve the public every day. Other than 2 mornings each week reserved for court responsibilities, we are open for appointments to accommodate anyone's personal schedule including lunch hours. Although we are not allowed by law to accept electronic filings, we do communicate through email and respond to questions. You can always talk to a live individual throughout the business day.
We are fortunate to have an outstanding website that provides lots of important information and the specific forms for those who need to open an estate. I speak to groups and organizations about the process, provide handouts and information that is very helpful to the general public. I have also been the speaker for Continued Education programs at Allegany College of MD, in addition to visiting our local Senior Centers to provide information and to answer questions.
