Relevant Experience
15+ years chairing various Local 1472 committees; 9 years as Chair of UAW North Central Women's Council, Interim Alder for City of Sheboygan Nov 2025 to present.
I'm running to add a union working class voice to the City Council. To be able to bring my almost 30 years of blue collar work ethic to the table and shine a light on how issues brought in front of the City impact us.
My experience in union leadership has taught me how to advocate for others and how to search for solutions that benefit others as a whole. My few months as an Alder have taught me a lot about how city government works and it has presented me with an opportunity to deep dive into the issues facing our community.
My goal as Alder is to increase transparency in our city government and to encourage active participation by residents in the entire process. I plan on achieving this by being vocal and active with others about the issues brought before the Council that may impact them. We will find the best solutions and paths forward if we have as much input from everyone as we can get.
I believe local governments have a duty to mitigate harm to the environment to the best of their ability.
I will ensure property development is only done with community input and to listen to my constituents about their concerns and weigh them thoroughly before voting to proceed with any projects.
