The township board approves the annual budget, reviews the annual report from the Trustee, and adopts the standards for township assistance.
I decided to run for Bloomington Township Board because I care about our community and believe local government plays an important role in supporting residents and responsibly stewarding public resources. With a professional background in social services and public service, I understand how important thoughtful decisions are to the wellbeing of the people we serve. I want to contribute by helping the board make sound decisions while supporting the Trustee and the staff in the Trustee's office as they continue the good work they are doing for our community.
The priority is to continue providing essential services as efficiently and responsibly as possible by reviewing spending, prioritizing the programs that meet community needs, and supporting the Township Trustee and staff to continue their work.
One of the most important roles the township can play during natural disasters is helping residents access clear, reliable information. The Trustee's office can serve as a trusted point of contact to connect people with available resources, relief programs, and community partners providing assistance. By sharing accurate information and coordinating with local agencies and nonprofits, the township can ensure residents know where to turn for support during challenging times.
