Township board members serve alongside the Trustee of the township in helping make decisions pertaining to the township finances, business, safety, community services and township upkeep.
I've lived in this township for many years, including growing up around here at my grandparent's home built in the 1970's off Peerless Rd. This community has shown me the best part of our town. With that, my experiences serving the entire community as a city police officer for almost 16 years and a county jailer before that have shown me the highs and lows of society but also given me a chance to help solve problems for others continuously and know what it means to be a servant leader for all. I have sat on volunteer boards, helped build habitat for humanity homes, raised four children and been a devoted husband to my wife all these years-which I feel will always keep me grounded in my faith and provides a perfect foundation serving you.
My top two priorities are public safety support/ enhancements and transparency in what the board does. Before running I did not hear much what the board does monthly. They do release information, but I'd like to also see more than monthly meetings of what's going on throughout the township. Also, I think public safety is the foundation to public prosperity and will always back our local fire, Ems, and law enforcement in whatever tools they need to do the job.
The most important challenge right now would be making sure we are meeting the everyday needs like volunteer fire support and at the same time being able to support those in need that we can within the township at the same time. Making sure your tax dollar is spent wisely to keep us all safe and secure is number one.
I would like everyone to know that I am a family man, have faith in God, and want to make sure everyone out here in Perry Township is safe--whether that be with a strong funded fire service, good working relationship with the Sheriff's Office, and also have the means to help those in financial need when we can. Perry Township is the best side of Evansville-the west side. I will be diligent in serving everyone and always have in mind what's best for everyone else. It's the way I treat my family, serve the Lord and have been for the citizens of Evansville for many years.

A Township Board Member serves as an oversight body for township government and a steward of local taxpayer resources. The board reviews and approves the township budget, helps ensure township assistance programs are operating responsibly, and provides accountability for how services are delivered to residents.
Township government exists to support neighbors who may be experiencing hardship, whether that’s assistance with basic needs or helping connect residents to resources. The board’s responsibility is to make sure those services are delivered effectively, transparently, and in a way that reflects the needs and values of the community.
Service has always been at the center of my career. I am a U.S. Army veteran and have worked at the federal, state, and local levels of public service. Today, I lead a local organization focused on housing stability, community development, and veteran services, where I work daily with community partners, public agencies, and local leaders to address complex challenges affecting residents.
I currently serve on the Evansville-Vanderburgh Commission on Homelessness and help coordinate partnerships across many sectors in our community. Those experiences have given me a strong understanding of how local systems work and how collaboration can lead to practical solutions.
My first priority is responsible oversight of township resources. Township government operates with taxpayer dollars, and it is important that those funds are managed carefully, transparently, and in a way that ensures assistance reaches residents who truly need it.
Second, I want to ensure that township services remain accessible and well connected with other community resources. Many residents may only interact with township government when they are facing a difficult moment in their lives. Ensuring that those services are responsive, coordinated, and effective can help people stabilize and move forward.
One challenge facing many communities today is ensuring that residents have access to stability when they experience setbacks. Rising costs, housing challenges, and unexpected hardships can quickly impact families who are otherwise doing well. Addressing those issues requires strong coordination between local government, community organizations, and service providers.
Another challenge approaching townships across Indiana is the recent legislation that will evaluate township operations and potentially consider consolidation or restructuring of township governments. It is important that township leadership demonstrates strong fiscal responsibility, transparency, and effective service delivery.
I care deeply about this community because it is home. I grew up on the West Side, I’m raising my family here, and I believe strongly in the importance of serving your neighbors and contributing to the place you live.
Whether through my military service, my professional work, or volunteer leadership in the community, I have always believed that strong communities are built through collaboration, accountability, and people who are willing to step forward and serve.
