The most important issue currently facing Sugar Creek is the budget. The cost of everything has risen and the money we see coming in, is not increasing at the same rate. Unless we find a way to increase the city's revenues, it won't be to many years before we have to start cutting important city resources. We do have several projects in the works, that should bring enough money into the city to keep the budget stable for many years to come. I hope the citizens of Sugar Creek will allow me to work for them for another 4 years to bring these projects to fruition. We also need to get the Sterling and 24hwy corner developed. In the 8 years I have been in office we have tried everything we can, to get a new grocery store funded. I believe the large development on the old Amoco property that is currently in the works, should bring enough resources to the city to finally get this accomplished.

I am running for my third term as Sugar Creek Alderman. I have worked very hard over the last 8 years to make Sugar Creek a more family friendly town. I spearheaded the building of the splash pad at Kaw field. I along with our former city administrator where able to get the outside concrete at the Mike Onka community center completely redone and also added the Gazebo on the patio. I also was able to get the disc golf course put in at Labinite and remodel of the bathrooms at Harrison Park. I said when I first ran for office that family was first and that's what I focused on. I plan to shift my focus for the next 4 years. We need to find solutions to make sure Sugar Creek can keep the same level of funding for all departments to insure its citizens are protected and well taken care of. We need economic development and we need it now. I hope the citizens of Sugar Creek have seen what I have been able to accomplish, the last 8 years and trust me with one more term.
