Flawed and highly subsidized economic development strategy. We've given $640 Million in taxpayer subsidies since 2019. These are largely for low value developments, such as: restaurant, retail, and apartments. This has resulted in the City levying several new taxes on the residents. I want to reform this strategy, fix the budget, and provide tax relief to the residents.

I'm running for this position to make a positive change in Lee's Summit. The appeal of Lee's Summit was good schools, low crime, and to get away from dense, urban areas. All of these appeals have been declining under the current administration. Schools have dropped from top 10 in the state, to now outside the top 200. Property Crimes are surging, and dense developments are going up all over town.

I'm an MBA and I have ran business units anywhere from $20 Million to over $100 Million. I'm fiscally sound and capable of reducing waste and prioritizing spending on what's important to Lee's Summit residents.

Lee's Summit is the fastest growing city in the state; we need to continue responsible growth. I will continue to work with our public safety groups, schools, community stakeholders, and most importantly our citizens to provide the necessities needed for this growth. We are all fighting these terrible "Gas Station" drugs, I am currently championing an ordinance to ban these items from Vap stores and gas stations. These are packaged and targeted to our young people, and it needs to be stopped. This is something I will continue to focus on throughout me elected career.

I have been in city government for (10+) years, starting as an appointed planning commissioner moving to the chair of the commission. I have served on the finance and budget committee, community and economic committee, and public works committee. Most recently I was selected to the board of Lee's Summit Cares an amazing organization that's focus is on preventing risky behavior for our youth. Being endorsed by the Fraternal Order of Police and Internation Firefighters Association is a great honor as I continue to champion the efforts of protecting the community.
