The most important issues facing our district is retaining great teachers, declining student enrollment, and funding from the state and federal areas. I address them in school board meetings by encouraging salary increases for staff, maintaining affordable benefits for teacher retention. Maintaining a safe learning environment and supporting cirriculum is how I feel best helps declining enrollment. Declining funds from state and federal levels requires advocacy to our representatives.
I am running for school board because the children are our future. Supporting a safe learning environment and the development of students through various clubs and organizations.
The district tries to maintain adequate reserves so there is no elimination of opportunities for students.
Maintaining open comminication is helpful. School district offering opportunities for parents in need of help and wanting to help, to work in tandem for the sucess of the students
Our Parents As Teachers program is amazing and the staff does a great job reaching the kids.
