Student success and retention are extremely important, while working to see students finish their degrees in a timely manner. The college needs to keep up with current trends and anticipate demands for emerging career fields. The college board needs to be fiscally responsible for how it invests and spends taxpayer dollars.
I have invested 35 years in higher education and was married to a high school principal for much of that time. I am a longtime county resident and have taught at Lindenwood University and the University of Missouri- St. Louis and at St. Charles Community College for 26 years, being one of its first faculty hired. I have watched the college grow to three separate campuses.
