Biographical Information

What are the most important goals for Wellesley to achieve over the next five years?

Candidate has not yet responded.
Relevant Experience Elected to TMM in October 2025 special election.
Over the next five years, I believe the most important goals for Wellesley to achieve include: - enhancement of school resources for the WPS and opportunities for our students; - greater protections established for Wellesley’s green spaces; - more fiscally responsible and transparent budgeting decisions; - and sensible expansion of multi-family housing opportunities within Wellesley.
Relevant Experience Retired financial services manager. Experience working with Mass Housing on housing issues.
Wellesley should continue to be an excellent town to be single, raise a family and retire. In an era of uncertainty, the town must balance services with rising costs especially in light of the declining student population. Smart growth and creative choices will be required.
Relevant Experience TMM, 2021-; Board, Wellesley Junior Women’s Club; Wellesley Green Schools; Nonprofit Consultant; MBA
Community engagement. Fiscal responsibility. Robust capital planning, prioritizing health and safety and climate-resilient infrastructure. Supporting schools to strive for educational excellence for all by balancing fiscal support for student learning, teachers, and buildings. A balanced approach to housing that considers resident input and best fit for developments in proposed neighborhoods.
As a precinct C Town Meeting member, I pledge to prioritize policies that promote smart growth, strong schools, fiscal responsibility, accountability, transparency and data-driven decision-making.
Relevant Experience 20-year resident of Wellesley
One important five-year goal for Wellesley is to establish and begin to implement a long-term development plan. The town needs to grow and develop, and we need to do it in a way takes advantage of and maintains Wellesley's strengths and advantages. The Planning Board's ongoing Strategic Housing process is a good start, but it needs to get buy in from across the towns population.
Relevant Experience I am a town meeting member and serve on Advisory Committee
Wellesley should seek to prioritize our capital spending over the next 5 years. We have many demands requiring updates to existing assets like town buildings and properties and should manage them with intention. I addition, Wellesly should seek excellence and equity in our schools ensuring we meet and exceed state curriculum requirements.
Relevant Experience 60+ year resident, former TMM & Advisory Committee Chair, founder of WEF/Bee. Supporter WFL, COA.
Repair the standing of WPS to top 5 rank, ensure fiscal responsibility for taxpayers, preserve character of Wellesley.
Relevant Experience 2024 WHS. App Math/Ling. Classical vocalist, Opera Society Board, Case Team Lead strategy consulting
Decisions made by Town leaders should represent all stakeholders. Important to me are public safety, educational excellence, and protecting the character of our community. I will add value with my perspective of preparedness of students for higher education or jobs and, as I live in a multi-generational household, I am sensitive to the needs of our important senior population.

Over the next five years, Wellesley must focus on fiscal stability, health and well-being, and community safety. By planning responsibly and working collaboratively, we can preserve Wellesley’s financial strength, safety, and quality of life for future generations
