Academic excellence for all: over the past five years, increases in achievement for minority students hasn't kept pace with those of white students. Support for staff: culture and climate concerns must be addressed to retain and attract a high-quality team. Fiscal responsibility: state funding cuts are on the horizon so district spending must align to top priorities.
Teacher for at-risk high school students: nine years. Building and program administrator: four years. Central office, Director of Student Services: currently in year four. Doctoral research: improving sense of belonging among minority students in predominantly white schools via increased agency through collaborative decision-making with school and district leadership.
