1). Equity and inclusion regarding student mental health and bullying prevention. 2). Good stewardship and a sense of purpose. Students should be prepared to be engaged citizens and future leaders through volunteering and community service. 3). Closing the opportunity gap through innovation. Every child deserves an equal chance at success.
My experience with education within the Kirkwood School District is being the proud father of two Kirkwood Pioneer high school boys who have grown up in the school district by attending Tillman Elementary, Nipher Middle School and now at Kirkwood High School as a junior and freshman, respectively.

1). First and foremost, the students and their educational achievements. 2). Ensuring that as a district we make data-driven, fiscally responsible decisions. 3). Making sure decisions made take into account not only students and staff but the community as a whole.
I was born and raised in Kirkwood and attended Kirkwood schools, as did my wife and our three daughters; our youngest is a junior at Kirkwood High School. I am running for school board because I want to give back to the community and school district that I love.
