Ensuring the Clayton School District develops a thoughtful, research-backed and developmentally appropriate approach to educational technology; supporting teachers in implementing curriculum and teaching strategies that foster curiosity and a love of learning; helping the district to responsibly implement its long-range facilities master plan.
Education has been the focus of my professional life. I taught elementary school and middle school math for 10 years before working for a nonprofit focused on math education. I am a parent to children at The Family Center and Meramec Elementary School, and I serve on the district’s teaching and learning advisory council.

Effective and equitable educational leadership: support the superintendent to create environments where every student can reach their full potential. Fiscal responsibility: use taxpayer funds wisely to meet today’s needs and make sound investments in our district's future. Community engagement: create opportunities for dialogue and collaboration.
I have been an active parent of two Clayton students for over a decade, serving on the Captain PTO executive board and district-wide committees. To prepare for this role, I have attended school board meetings for the past 6 months and met with each building principal, several former board members and many current residents. I also teach graduate students at WashU Medicine.
