My priorities are student achievement and readiness, recruiting and retaining strong staff, and responsible stewardship of district resources. That means aligning budgets to academic outcomes, supporting competitive compensation and a positive professional culture, and ensuring accountable governance.
For the past six years, I have served on the Affton School Board. I have also served on the curriculum, strategic planning and finance committees. I supported successful bond initiatives that strengthened district operations and funded capital improvements, positioning our staff and facilities for long-term success.

One of my top priorities is to provide a safe and equitable learning environment for all children to reach their highest potential. Teachers and staff who feel valued and respected are instrumental in providing such an environment. Bus transportation and Cougar Care are a must in supporting our community. It is important to do this while being fiscally responsible.
I have a child in elementary school in the district. I volunteer with the Affton Parents Club. As a board member, I am currently one of the board liaisons to the activities committee and Affton Education Foundation. I also serve as Affton's delegate to the governing council for the Special School District.

1). Be an asset to the future of the Affton School District and grow the district into a place where people want to work and send their children. 2). Ensure that I do what is best for the current education and employment of all within the district. 3). Build relationships within the community.
While the only direct experience I have in education is the senior service project I did in high school for a month at Holy Trinity Catholic grade school where I got to aid the various teachers in their duties. I have several friends and family members in education. I understand the importance of education in the community.
