I am a former principal at three schools in the district for 16 years. My children all graduated from the Kimberly School District. My wife and I had an exchange student attend Kimberly High School. I still volunteer in classrooms in the district.
It is important to listen and hear what our teachers are saying upon making decisions. This shows we value them. It is also important to pay them a comparable wage to surrounding districts. We also need to recognize and appreciate our educational staff!
all stakeholders should be involved. Transparency is essential.
We must continue to look at the needs of all students and meet them where they are at.
Kimberly is a high achieving cost effective school district. Our educational staff is highly trained in best practices in learning. We must continue a specific focus on preparing all students including student from diverse backgrounds to find success in school. We must also hold administration accountable to serve all students.
I am a listener and questioner. I have the background to ask the pertinent questions that help in decision making. Having served as a teacher, principal, and district administrator I understand the questions that need to be asked and discussed. I want to guide financial discussion around priorities to support our staff, taxpayers and most importantly our students that are of most benefit to all.

My firsthand experiences as an educator, parent and advocate have deepened my appreciation for community and collaboration. Education has always been close to my heart, and I'm excited for the opportunity to be involved again! My husband and I have two children in the district, and like many families, we stay busy and engaged in their activities. I’d love the opportunity to listen, learn, and work alongside our community to support our students, staff and schools.
We need to offer competitive wages and a strong, comprehensive benefits package, as these reflect the value of the work teachers do every day. We must support our teachers and schools by treating educators like the professionals they are and recognizing the real challenges they face in today’s classrooms. They deserve consistent support from district leadership, parents, and the community. When we invest in our teachers, we invest in the success of our students and the future of our community.
We must give educators the resources and encouragement to incorporate diverse perspectives into their teaching. I have seen educators in our district create meaningful learning experiences to help students understand people whose backgrounds differ from their own. While it can feel challenging for teachers to address topics outside their own lived experiences, such as the journey of a refugee building a new life, the empathy and understanding students gain from these lessons are invaluable.
Our teachers and staff genuinely care about their students, and our schools are committed to helping each child grow into thoughtful, engaged problem solvers. Our community is proud and deeply values academic excellence. There are opportunities to continue growing by creating learning environments which reflect a broader world and continuing to focus on supporting the whole child. Addressing these areas will help make an already strong district even stronger.
I see my role on the School Board as being a strong voice for parents and families, ensuring that every decision keeps students at the center. My goal is to help maintain a thoughtful balance between responsibility to the community and providing continued support for the programs and people which help our students succeed. The Board must do all it can to ensure our schools are places where every child feels safe, seen, and supported, while also making responsible, transparent financial decisions.
