Board Description: Five members are elected for three-year staggered terms and must be registered voters of Wellesley. As the Chief Elected and Executive Officers of the Town, the Select Board oversees all matters affecting the interest and welfare of the Town, not otherwise assigned to other Boards or Departments. The Board appoints an Executive Director.The Board issues the warrants for Town Meetings. The Board adopts town administrative policies; reviews and sets fiscal guidelines for the departments, and develops the Town-Wide Financial Plan and five-year capital projects plan.The Board appoints members of some boards and commissions (including Zoning Board of Appeals, Historical Commission, Council on Aging, Youth Commission, Historic District Commission, Election Officers, Veterans Services Director, and two members of the Municipal Light Board) as well as those department heads under the authority of the Board. The Board serves as the local licensing board responsible for issuing and renewing licenses including common victualler, food vendor, liquor, and special events.The Select Board meets weekly on Monday evening, unless otherwise posted.

Wellesley is at a turning point. Decisions about growth, public investment, and long-term planning will shape our town for decades. We need leadership grounded in transparency, fiscal responsibility, and long-term thinking. That is why I am running for the Select Board.
My priorities are ensuring the MassBay project is a true win for Wellesley and that the Town lives within its means as it considers nearly $500 million in proposed capital projects. These decisions require careful, honest evaluation.
Through my service on the Historic Commission, Planning Board, RIO Task Force, and as a Town Meeting Member, I have learned the value of listening, asking hard questions, and earning public trust. I am committed to thoughtful, fact-driven leadership focused on Wellesley’s long-term health.

I am running for re-election because Wellesley is facing change requiring experienced leadership. Budget growth, development, and the cost of building projects demand planning and sound judgement. I have the knowledge, skill, and community relationships needed to guide these decisions.
One priority is the growth of the Town’s budget which requires experienced leadership and disciplined planning that evaluates infrastructure, costs, and tax-impact to ensure we provide the level of services the community expects. I am also focused on the housing decisions ahead; state mandates, MassBay, and the sale of the Haynes’ properties. These issues require experienced leadership and thoughtful oversight to ensure that development is well planned and aligned with the Town’s priorities.

It has been an honor to serve on the Select Board & I would like to continue participating in decision-making related to keeping the Town a financially strong & desirable community for our residents & businesses. Critical issues facing Wellesley that I would like to help address: budgeting in a fiscally responsible manner to meet our high expectations for services & resources; expanding downsizing & starter housing options; improving education & behaviors around sustainable solutions; promoting communications & transparency in town government; supporting our local businesses. I hope to use my business expertise & knowledge of Wellesley to develop solutions for these issues & others. I am committed to collaborating with residents, businesses & government officials in developing solutions.
