The top priorities are responsible budgeting, sustainable growth, and protecting the people who already live here. That starts with real tax relief through spending discipline. Show the math, cut waste, and keep the focus on core services. We also need infrastructure and growth that pays its own way. Roads, drainage, and public safety should not be funded on the backs of existing residents to subsidize new development. Protecting property rights and preserving the character of our communities requires clear, predictable rules that are applied consistently. Essential services must remain strong and efficient while respecting county employees and holding government accountable. Taxpayers deserve to see real value for every dollar spent.
Posting agendas and streaming meetings is not enough. Often decisions feel finalized before citizens have a meaningful chance to weigh in, especially working families who cannot attend weekday meetings at the Administration Building. Commissioners should go to the people, not expect families to always come to them. I support regular town halls and community meetings throughout Precinct 2, particularly during budget season and ahead of major spending or development decisions. The Inner East Loop experience showed what happens when people feel decisions are made around them instead of with them. I also support a public-facing budget and project dashboard that tracks costs, timelines, and outcomes so citizens can see what is being spent.
I support elections that are accessible, secure, and trusted. BrazosVotes.org does a good job making information available, and the County should continue improving outreach so more people participate. I understand why some voters distrust machines and prefer hand counting. While the County must follow Texas law, public confidence can be strengthened through transparency. That includes clear chain of custody procedures, public testing and observation where permitted, prompt reporting, and post-election checks. The goal should always be high participation and confidence in the results, without turning election administration into a partisan battleground.
The County cannot solve health insurance, and Commissioners Court should not promise to function like an insurer. The proper role of county government is public health protection and safety. That includes disease prevention and outbreak response, immunizations and communicable disease services, environmental health functions such as food safety and septic oversight, and emergency preparedness. My focus is ensuring those core responsibilities are delivered efficiently, with measurable outcomes and clear accountability. I believe the County must avoid expanding programs that create long-term taxpayer obligations after temporary funding expires. Fiscal discipline keeps more money in families’ pockets and allows private charities to flourish.

As a business owner and former banking executive, I believe the County Commissioners’ Court must focus on responsible budgeting, smart economic growth, and efficient core services. Our community thrives when taxpayer dollars are managed wisely, infrastructure keeps pace with growth, and jobs and opportunity can expand.

My priorities include fiscal responsibility with balanced budgets, reliable infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and drainage, strong economic development through local partnerships, and supporting public safety by ensuring first responders have the training, equipment, and resources they need. These issues impact working families and small businesses across our precinct every day.
Transparency and accountability are key to building trust. When people understand what their local government is doing and why, confidence goes up and frustration goes down.

I will: • Make fiscal decisions easier to understand so residents can clearly see how tax dollars are being used. • Share information about agendas, budgets, and outcomes in a timely and accessible way. • Create more opportunities for citizen input earlier in the process, before major decisions are locked in. • Encourage clear explanations and data in public meetings so the community can follow the reasoning behind decisions.

Good government works best when people are informed, involved, and able to see how decisions are being made.
A strong community depends on people taking part in the process and having confidence that elections are handled fairly and efficiently. I support a voting system that is accessible, secure, and well run, while following state and local election laws. Our countywide voting program helps make it easier for eligible voters to cast a ballot at a convenient location during early voting or on Election Day. Citizens should feel encouraged and prepared to participate. That means: • Promoting voter registration and voter education. • Supporting well organized precinct operations that respect voters’ time. • Listening to concerns about how the process can improve, while relying on trained election professionals to maintain election integrity.
County government does not directly provide health insurance, but it can still play a role in improving health outcomes and lowering long term costs for the community.

I support: • Strengthening partnerships with local health providers, clinics, and nonprofit organizations to expand access to preventive care. • Encouraging job growth and workforce development so more families can access employer based coverage. • Backing county health initiatives, wellness programs, and educational outreach that help prevent small health issues from turning into bigger, more expensive problems.

When people are healthy, families do better and so does our local economy.

Gaining back the public's trust Showing value in the taxes levied Uniting the County to accomplish greater things
For Communications: Implement a comprehensive communications plan that may include such items as a regularly published newsletter, an annual survey, an emergency management app for your smartphone and periodic face to face Town Hall meetings. Also, a clear understanding of the format of the Commissioners Court meeting and office hours of each Commissioner.

For Budgetary/admin concerns: Regular press conferences given by the County Judge and/or spokesman on important issues that action has been taken on. Also, propose that the budget format be changed to a 'line item' type of budget unmasking certain budget areas that may or may not be hidden.
I believe in the use of technology to assist the voter for awareness on when elections are to take place and where poling locations are. We can accomplish this by using an app for your smart phone. I also believe that electronic voting machines if calibrated and monitored correctly with the appropriate authorities on site and prenumbered ballots, I think we can maintain integrity without the need for extra 'manual' steps.
Some of our population chooses to 'self insure' themselves and their families which is fine in my opinion. For those that are victim to the pressures of life and the economy, I think the County has a unique and vital role to play in support of a Health Department which can administer education and awareness on how to apply for assistance through local branches of the Federal and State Govt for help through established programs in addition to special point of service 'care' clinics that could be collaborated with non- profit agencies such as 'Health for All' and the American Red Cross depending on the need. We can also look to our area churches for certain levels of benevolence available.
