For more than 11 years, my career has been centered on asking tough questions and making sure dollars are spent wisely. I would bring that same practical, taxpayer-focused approach to the County Board.
Additionally, I am deeply committed to our community, from helping lead the successful Harmony Park inclusive playground project to chairing one of the region’s largest charity events with the Bloomington-Normal Jaycees. I have also served on multiple boards, including four years on the Bloomington Technology Commission. These experiences have prepared me to listen carefully, ask the right questions, and make practical, informed decisions on behalf of McLean County residents.
1. Affordable Housing
2. Tax levies
3. Job growth
4. Access to health care and mental health care
Expanding affordable housing helps distribute the tax burden more fairly, supports job growth by ensuring workers can live where they work, and improves overall health and mental well-being by providing stable, safe places to live.
As a County Board member, I would focus on learning from communities that have successfully increased their affordable housing supply and evaluating which strategies could work here in McLean County. That includes examining existing policies, partnering with local stakeholders, and being open to creative, evidence-based approaches. Our goal should be to make thoughtful, informed changes that strengthen our community while using taxpayer dollars responsibly.
