race McLean County Board, District 8
I was first elected to the County Board in March 2020 and have spent the past five and a half years serving on multiple committees and task forces, with a primary focus on Land Use issues, including zoning and renewable energy projects. Recent changes in industry practices and state law have made institutional knowledge and continuity especially important for effective advocacy on behalf of the county and my constituents. I bring experience, steady leadership, and a strong commitment to good governance, grounded in transparency, careful scrutiny, and collaboration. These values have been essential as the County updated zoning regulations and revised Board rules to strengthen community participation and public comment.
Tax Levies Affordable housing Access to health care and mental health care Job growth
Taxation is always a central concern for County Board members and the residents we serve. We work to manage costs responsibly by adjusting fee structures, pursuing grant funding, and closely monitoring expenses. Our goal is to ensure taxpayer dollars are used efficiently and effectively. In 2026, McLean County reduced its tax levy while continuing to provide high-quality services.

Affordability remains a major challenge for many families. In addition to affordable housing, access to child care is a growing concern. As the county grows, we must make living in McLean County attainable by partnering with state and local governments to reduce housing costs and make it easier for child care providers to operate and expand.
