Access to health care and mental care, affordable housing, tax levies and job growth.
Health care: Invest in a "continuum of care" that integrates mental health services with local law enforcement and first responders to reduce the misuse of emergency services and lower taxpayer costs. Affordable housing: Streamline permit approvals to convert underutilized commercial zones into mixed-use residential areas. Tax levies: Establish strict performance metrics and monthly reporting to track expenditures against the budget, identifying opportunities to reduce waste before seeking levy increases. Job growth: Partner with local community colleges and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs to align vocational training with the needs of local industries.
