Cook County Board President

The President of the Cook County Board is the Chief Executive Officer of Cook County and isresponsible for directing the administrative functions of the County, except for responsibilitiesheld by other elected County officials. The President is responsible for preparing a proposedbalanced budget for all County officials and departments each year that is submitted to theCook County Board for final approval. The Cook County Board President also serves as thePresident of the Cook County Forest Preserve District.
