Bortolotto won the council president seat on his own six years ago but has served on City Council since 2001 (first as Ward 3 Councilman, then as Councilman-at-Large starting in 2013). City Council is composed of seven members who are elected to serve two-year terms. The city is divided into four wards. The voters in each ward elect a council member. Three council members, including the council president, are elected citywide on an at-large basis.The League of Women Voters is not sending questionnaires in uncontested races.
