The top concerns of the community members in my township are well-maintained and safe roads as well as Emergency and Fire response. I will continue to focus on allocating resources to achieve the above concerns.
Lifelong resident of Wayne Township, Retired Farmer and Businessman, 16 years as a Township Trustee, 6 years on the Fire District Board and current Historian for the Joint Township Hospital District.
I believe that I have the right background and experience to do a good job, and a record to prove it.
I have always taken the time to speak to anyone that has an issue or input to offer.

The main concerns that I have are: (a) need for more transparency between the Trustees and township residents pertaining to issues impacting them, such as proposed annexation of land out of the township and into the City of Wooster potentially affecting tax revenue realized by the township; (b) several township residents that I spoke to could not name a Trustee currently serving suggesting a lack of engagement between the Trustees and residents; (c) several residents have expressed a desire to move away from chip and seal road surfaces on heavily-traveled township thoroughfares to get into town, such as Flickinger Hill; and (d) there are opportunities for grant funds that the township could be pursuing for equipment purchases, road improvements, signage, etc. to bulk up township buying power or offset expenditure of township tax dollars.
I was with the former Wayne Savings Community Bank, including Vice President, for 21 years. I was then Executive Director of the non-profit organization Habitat for Humanity in Wayne County for 8 years, during which I submitted several grant proposals for equipment and land acquisition, building materials and sponsorships. I also served 6 years as a member of the Board of Directors, including 2 years as Board President. These positions provided experience into the requirements of acting in the best interest of those we serve, including personnel matters, and taking decisive action in a timely manner. I finished my work life as a self-employed Mortgage Analyst for 10 years reviewing mortgage-backed securities involved in litigation.
I have been a resident of Wayne Township for 37 years, and I genuinely love and appreciate the rural feel of our area. It's where my husband and I raised our family. Being retired, I have more time to devote to pursue funding opportunities and provide support and guidance to ensure that the needs of the township are met in timely and financially responsible ways.
