Occupation Full-time At-Home Dad, High School Social Studies Teacher
Education Bachelors of Arts in History at the University of Pittsburgh (2004), Masters of Arts in Teaching at the University of Pittsburgh (2005)
Experience 5 Years, 15 Years
Political Philosophy My political philosophy is rooted in civic responsibility, collaborative problem-solving, and a commitment to ensuring that every student has the opportunities and support they need to thrive, while being a responsible steward of community resources.
With experience strengthening the school community, building strong relationships, and a commitment to Wyoming’s social contract, I will work to make our great schools even better. As a former teacher, engaged parent, and active community member, I know how schools and community thrive together. I’ll listen, communicate openly, and ensure all students have opportunities to succeed. I’d be honored to earn your vote on November 4th.
Wyoming City Schools must protect the inclusive culture that makes families say, “We should live in Wyoming.” While we follow state and federal mandates, we must stay true to our community values. Supporting all students, closing learning gaps, and uplifting diverse voices aren’t political—they’re great teaching. Our leaders must keep speaking out when policies threaten the care, belonging, and opportunity that define our schools.
The Wyoming City Schools benefit from many programs that connect parents, teachers, students, and school leaders. As a member of the Parent School Association, I’ve seen its strong impact on our community. Serving on the Citizens Advisory Committee also allowed me to research for the Wyoming Board of Education and better understand district priorities. I recommend this committee to anyone seeking to contribute at the district level.
