Political Philosophy Our government exists to serve, benefit, and represent the interests of its citizens.
I have lived in Colerain for 60 years. I have represented average citizens in acquiring fair and equitable resolution to their issues with government agencies for 25 years and served on 3 panels appointed by the governor regarding government reform.
My RESIDENTS FIRST AGENDA includes: 1) Fiscal Responsibility: Eliminate $5m deficit by reducing Corporate Welfare, fully fund police without raising taxes, & invest in community-building programs focused on neighborhood stability 2) Residents First: protect residents' property rights & neighborhood character, increase home ownership while reducing rental housing, focus policing on the suburbs 3) Reinvent the Mall as a community-center without taxpayer funding that serves the needs of residents.
Occupation Community Organizer, Social Justice Activist and Realtor
Education B.S. In Accounting from U.C and a real estate sales license from Hondros
Experience My work spans 25-30 years in the following: Compliance Auditing, Business Development Manager, Writing operational policies and procedures, Community Outreach• Realtor
Endorsements Ohio Environmental Council, Local Union 265, Commissioner Alicia Reece, Senator Cecil Thomas
Affiliations League of Women Voters, NAACP, Amos Project, Quinn Chapel AME Church
Political Philosophy Freedom
"I write policies and procedures, audit budgets, conduct operational reviews, & write grants. As a Realtor and Community Organizer, I bring firsthand government experience and a passion for amplifying diverse voices to drive meaningful change."
My top 3 priorities, if elected: (1) Host townhalls to gather residents’ vision for a better Colerain—businesses, resources, and solutions; (2) Meet with staff to get input on what would help them succeed; (3) Explore solution-focused code enforcement that avoids hardship, promotes compliance, and holds absentee landlords accountable. I’ll also launch volunteer programs to prevent blight and support neighbors. This input would give me the vision residents want for Colerain TWP -not what I want.

Occupation Private Sector Specialty Services Business
Education Attended University of Cincinnati
Experience Current Colerain Township Trustee and Member of Northwest Local School District Board of Education 2008-2015
Political Philosophy Please visit my detailed website listed below. I believe that small local government can be the most reactive to everyday issues. If you watch our televised meetings, you will see that I give out my personal cell number 513 404 3057 during each meeting. I receive 5-10 calls a week and travel all of our neighborhoods visiting residents and helping to work out issues.
Proven track record of solving small problems before they become large ones. Sharp focus on Code Enforcement and keeping big city problems away from Colerain. Maintaining top rated Police, Fire/EMS and Public Works. Nice parks and summer events.
We do our best work when we stick to the fundamental duties of Township government. Roads Police Fire. Continue to encourage business development by allowing the competitive marketplace to flourish. In a 2-1 vote Aug 2023, Colerain Twp purchased the former Sears parcel at the far rear of the Northgate Mall property. I voted NO because these type of situations are better suited to well capitalized entities. Please see my detailed explanation and cure Sears- NO vote link at www.unger4trustee.com
